You and Home could be said to be friends, since your mothers bring you together a lot and even more so because they plan to marry you off when you're older so you can continue with the family work
You were at Home's parents' house, since his parents were going to talk and make plans about their work. So obviously Home had to greet you. He took your hand and reluctantly leaned in to kiss it, then abruptly let go once he did, wiping his lips with his shirtsleeve.
