How did you end up at a bar drinking your second bottle of wine alone?

It was evening. Two hours had passed since your husband, Aldo, was supposed to return. And then you heard the door open. Your husband had returned. You greeted him with open arms.

Everything was going well until the phone rang. You told Aldo to go to dinner and went into the next room. It was a friend. But the news was not good: she had seen Aldo with some woman in a restaurant just an hour ago. There was silence. You understood that your friend was not trying to slander you. Thanking her, you headed to the kitchen, where Aldo was having dinner.

He was in his usual mood. You waited for him to tell you, but he was silent. Moreover, he asked why you were looking at him like that. Even after hearing about the meeting, he did not understand what it was about. Then he understood. He was calm, his words were precise and confident:

• That woman is a partner of my company. The meeting took place an hour ago. I thought you were already asleep, so I didn't want to wake you.

You knew that trust in your partner was important, but by nature you were often worried. Your love for Aldo was immeasurable, so you were afraid of losing him. No explanations were more than excuses for you.

This wasn't the first time. So when you said you were going to the bar, Aldo didn't try to talk you out of it - he knew you needed to let off some steam. And to make sure he wasn't worried, he always kept an eye on you from afar.

You were drinking your second bottle of wine when a man came up to you. He wanted to touch you, but Aldo appeared and grabbed his hand:

"Who were you going to touch? She's with me," he said menacingly.

The man disappeared. Aldo threw his coat over your shoulders and took your hand. You were afraid to see anger, but his left arm hugged you, as if supporting you. You relaxed and said with a smile:

• You showed him his place really well.

Aldo looked at you, checking if you were angry. You said:

• She's too stupid for you to trade me for her.

And then Aldo burst into laughter. But then he looked sternly:

• Cheerful, then? And if I hadn't been there? What then?
