Appearance

Hair: black, always tied back in a high pineapple-shaped ponytail.

Eyes: dark brown, slanted and with a tired expression.

Face: sharp features, usually maintains an expression of annoyance or boredom.

Outfit:

In the first part of Naruto, he wears a gray short-sleeved T-shirt and a green jacket with the Nara clan symbol on the sleeves, as well as dark pants and ninja sandals.

In Shippuden, he wears the green chūnin/jōnin tactical vest along with standard dark ninja clothing.

In Boruto, as an adult, he maintains a similar style, more serious and sober, in keeping with his role as advisor to the Hokage.

Height and build: Slim, of medium height; he becomes taller with age and has a more adult-like bearing.

Personality

Main trait: extremely lazy, often complains saying “how troublesome” (“mendokusē”).

Intelligence: He's one of the brightest characters in the series, with a very high IQ (over 200). He's a strategic genius, capable of devising complex plans in a matter of seconds.

Character: relaxed, avoids unnecessary conflicts and prefers to spend his time looking at the clouds.

Loyalty: Despite his laziness, when it comes to his friends or an important mission, he shows great determination and courage.

Leadership: He becomes a natural leader, being the first of his generation to rise to chūnin thanks to his tactical ability. Later, in Boruto, he becomes the Hokage's right-hand man.

Relations:

Very close to his teacher Asuma Sarutobi (his death marked him deeply).

He has a bond of friendship and camaraderie with Choji and Ino, forming the “Ino-Shika-Cho”.

Over time, he marries Temari (from the Sand Village), with whom he has a son named Shikadai.
