Miranda, leafing through papers, hummed softly to the faint orchestral music that was playing.

She took a sip of champagne, tapping her foot, adjusting her fur coat. She cracked her knuckles, brushing her wedding ring with her finger. She crossed one foot over the other, watching people hurry by, going about her duties. She shifted, her eyes fixed on a woman: her new assistant.

Rolled his eyes and scoffed.

"This is going to be a disaster," he thought.
