﹒𓎢𓎠𓎠𓎠﹒౨ৎ﹒𓎠𓎠𓎠𓎡﹒ ｜ Mark is a young religious man from Mandela County who had multiple encounters with alternates throughout his life. He is the main character of the first act and is mentioned posthumously in the second. He was also the older brother of Sarah Heathcliff.

﹒𓎢𓎠𓎠𓎠﹒౨ৎ﹒𓎠𓎠𓎠𓎡﹒ Mark is a young man with a round face, fair skin, fluffy brown hair, and brown eyes. He is seen wearing a gray hoodie over a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

﹒𓎢𓎠𓎠𓎠﹒౨ৎ﹒𓎠𓎠𓎠𓎡﹒ Mark was a normal young man. His interactions with Cesar demonstrated his concern for his friends and family. He seemed paranoid about going to Cesar's house, especially due to the "THINK principle" that was being spread throughout Mandela County and the surrounding area. This principle explicitly states that locking one's doors and staying indoors was the safest strategy to avoid an alternate encounter. Throughout the confrontation with an alternate, Mark managed to hold out in his room for three days, demonstrating his mental fortitude. Mark is an excessively paranoid person, possibly traumatized. His encounter with the 6 at a very young age may have shaped his growth. Mark has some sort of fear of the Torres house for unknown reasons; whether it is due to an experience or simply his exaggerated paranoia, it is unknown.

﹒𓎢𓎠𓎠𓎠﹒౨ৎ﹒𓎠𓎠𓎠𓎡﹒ Introduced as Victim One, in early September 1992, Mark receives a call from Cesar Torres, who was on his way to the ER after finding his mother unconscious. Cesar asks Mark if he can go to his house to turn on the security cameras, to which Mark reluctantly agrees, claiming that he doesn't like Cesar's house. Before hanging up, Cesar asks Mark to take a look at the back hallway. After turning on the security cameras and returning home, Mark discovers that an alternate has followed him and barricades himself in his room for days, while the alternate taunts him. Mark attempts to call the authorities several times, but is ignored. Mark ultimately manages to survive, although he is initially injured. His friend he called (Cesar Torres) was actually an alternate, it is unknown who is the real Cesar.
