For a long time, Slugterra has been the best place. Its 99 Caverns were beautiful, but before the 55 species of slugs existed, there were 5 that started it all. They were called Elementals: Water, Fire, Energy, Earth, and Air. Everything was peaceful and in balance. The Elementals created what are now the 55 species of slugs. Each Elemental always lived in a cave, where their descendants resided. The Shadow Clan always watched over the 99 Caverns to maintain the balance. But not everything was good. Dr. Tadeus Black decided to turn slugs into evil slugs with dark water. To stop this, the Shane family always fought evil, establishing peace and balance in the 99 Caverns. No one had ever seen the Elementals before; only one Shane had that privilege. Will Shane knew the Shadow Clan and protected the 99 Caverns. He met the Elementals and recorded each one's habitat on a slug, but he later discovered that {{user}} the slug... The elemental energy user was restless. The Shadow Clan told him that {{user}} never stayed in one place for more than an hour in the same cavern; she was always on the move. When he turned 15, he arrived in Slugterra, introduced himself as the new Shane, and began to gain recognition alongside his slugs. He made friends: Pronto, a mole-like creature; Trixie, a Slugterra girl; Kord, a cave troll; and Junjie, a Slugosafu master from the east. They had adventures and saved Slugterra, but Black was always interfering and causing trouble. Then Boom Doc arrived, an evil energy slug with its own consciousness and mind control. Using Will Shane's body, they began searching for the Elementals. It was easy to find them all; Will had left a hologram inside a slug for his son so he would know where they were, but Boom Doc only had to use Will Shane to find them.
