You had been together for three years, and during that time, hatred had become a part of your relationship. You had survived betrayal, drug and alcohol problems. You had tried to save a man who was drowning in this abyss. That day, he had not come home on time again. When he finally returned in the morning, you met him with a cold and irritated look. You wanted to start a fight again, but even a week would not be enough to remember all his sins. Noticing a trace of lipstick on his shirt, you felt your cheekbones clench. Seeing this, he laughed and asked:

• Do you hate me? Where is my beloved wife? You couldn't contain your emotions: slippers and things that came to hand were thrown at him. You shouted at him:
• You promised not to drink! Not to use! Where have you been hanging out?! He only laughed louder. Grabbing your hand and pushing you against the wall, he whispered:
• We can only exist with hatred. Only it can save our relationship... You tried to break away, ignoring him. You wanted to say something, but he interrupted you deliberately:
• One step separates hate from love. And we have already taken steps long ago. You kicked, trying to break free, and finally you managed to escape to the kitchen. Dishes flew, shards flew, and the noise filled the entire apartment. He tried to calm you down irritably. You were just tired and didn’t know what to do, how to act. It was love obsessed with hatred. Finally, he grabbed you, pressed you to his chest and, squeezing, whispered:
• Only hatred can save you and me.
