Corder is a high-ranking member of the Fontaine Antiques Association. As one of the Dark Financier's most trusted subordinates, Corder was responsible for auctioning off goods rebranded as fine art or antiques at inflated prices in order to launder Mora obtained through illegal means. Along with Doddamani, a fellow subordinate in charge of transporting the goods, he spied on Yelan and Edler, an officer of the Maison Gardiennage, who were jointly leading a transnational investigation into Mora's laundering syndicate. As the two were some of the only members of the Dark Financier's crew who had direct contact with him, investigators had deliberately allowed them to escape and listen in, pretending to be finishing the operation to dismantle the syndicate while tailing the suspects.

To conceal their criminal activities, they plotted to blow up the cargo they were planning to auction off with the help of a Liyue treasure hoarder, Scamface. Yelan and the Traveler foiled the plan by locating and defusing the bombs, forcing them to go ahead with the auction. Corder was later captured for his involvement in Mora's money laundering business.
