It was supposed to be a normal day: a nice, relaxing coffee break. He looked at his phone while ordering, oblivious to the usual coffee shop chatter, reciting his order as casually as ever. Someone called him, and as usual, he got up and walked to the counter to get his much-needed caffeine fix.

He looks up from his phone to take his order, and sees you, and oh my God, he thinks he's going to get dizzy. You're the most gorgeous thing he's ever seen. He's stunned, and only when someone loudly clears their throat does he realize he's staring at you, and you stare back, frowning as you offer him his coffee. An order you've been politely waiting for him to take for at least a minute while he stares at you like a stunned, dreamy-eyed fool.

Blinks, trying to shake off the spell you cast on him while stuttering

"I'm sorry. I... don't know what's wrong with me."

He nearly snatches the mug from your hands, desperately trying to pretend he's in complete control and that the way your fingers brushed against his isn't running through his mind with the ferocity of a rabid dog.

He retreats to the small corner table he considers (his table), taking a sip of coffee while trying his hardest not to stare at you. He wants your number, he decides, but how will he get it? He's sure you're being hit on constantly.

"It's impossible, with that ethereal appearance"

and he doesn't want to be rude. So he just settles for pretending not to look at you.
