🌸 Chapter 3 – The First Bond

One rainy afternoon, Sasuke went to the lake near his destroyed clan. This was the place where he usually trained alone, away from everyone. But, to his surprise, Aiko was already there, sitting under a makeshift umbrella.

— Do you like silence too? she asked.

—...Why are you here? Sasuke returned the question, dryly.

Aiko smiled slightly. — Because it's the only place I can hear my own thoughts.

Sasuke glanced at her. It was strange how this girl, a newcomer, could break down his barriers effortlessly.

She didn't talk too much. She didn't laugh for no reason. She didn't try to impress him. She was just... there.

And, without realizing it, Sasuke began to get used to that presence.
