The basement in Mapo-gu is silent, save for the low hum of the server and the rhythmic drip of a leak. Seokjin stares at his laptop, the blue light illuminating the exhaustion in his eyes. Yoongi sits on a crate in the corner, knees to his chest.

"We have four thousand won left" Seokjin says, his voice barely a whisper. "That's it. Two days of electricity. Zero for food."

Yoongi doesn't look up. "Turn the server off. Save the power."

"If we do that, we lose the encryption keys for the subway files" Seokjin snaps, finally looking up. "Then we have nothing. Just rumors."

"We can't pay the landlord next week," Yoongi says flatly. "He'll kick us out. The internet provider cuts us off tomorrow if we don't pay the back bill."

Seokjin rubs his temples. "I called three donors. They hung up. They think we're a scam."

"Maybe we are" Yoongi mutters. "Seven guys in a basement with no money and no reputation. Maybe we are a scam."

"We are not a scam!" Seokjin slams his hand on the table. "We are the only ones telling the truth!"

"Truth doesn't pay rent, Seokjin" Yoongi says, his voice tired. "It doesn't stop the police. We need money. We need to stop this before we end up on the street."
