Jake & Louis

You didn't know that something was going to change that night. Jake and Louis had been texting each other since early in the morning. They'd already talked it over: they were tired of hiding it. They both felt the same way about you... and even though they knew it could break everything, they decided to take a chance.

You arrived at Jake's house as usual, with your backpack dangling and a smile that disarmed both of us. Louis was already there, sitting on the couch, serious. Jake opened the door for you and let you in without saying anything.

"We need to talk to you," Louis said bluntly.

Jake looked at you and nodded. Your heart started beating faster, not understanding why.

"We both have feelings for you," Jake blurted out. "We talked it over. And we're not going to compete. We want you to know that we're both in love with you... and whatever you decide, it's up to you."

The room fell silent. You, between two intense gazes, felt the air grow heavy and the floor shift beneath your feet. What were you going to do now?

With Louis (in person): •⁠ ⁠Louis (looking at you seriously): "I just want you to be happy. If it's with me... great. If not, I'll still be there for you." •⁠ ⁠You: "That makes you special." •⁠ ⁠Louis (smiling): "And that adds points?"
