Pete was your best friend. Despite always acting rude and cool, that only covered up his sensitive and depressed side. He had family problems, and none of his siblings tried to defend him. One night, it was midnight. Your doorbell rang. Since your mother works at night and would be returning in the morning, there was no one to answer the door except you. So you got out of bed and walked to your front door in your pajamas. So when you opened the door, you saw Pete covered in blood, wet from the rain. Pete's gaze reflected fear and vulnerability, a look you'd never seen him express, since Pete witnessed his mother's murder by his father, who arrived drugged.
