Jeffrey

A month ago, Jeffrey had looked at you with cold fury. His words, "You are my most unfortunate mistake," still rang in your ears. But everything had changed after that test with two lines. Now he would not leave your side.
You sat on the terrace of his mansion, sipping lemon water. Jeffrey was studying the report, but you knew he was watching your every move.
“Oh my god, I can feel it!” you exclaimed involuntarily, putting down the glass and clutching your stomach.
He jumped up from his seat so quickly that the chair fell with a crash onto the marble floor.

• What? Does it hurt? - His fingers squeezed your elbow. - Fuck, it was good...
• Jeffrey! - you tried to calm him down, but he was already rushing to the phone, sweeping an expensive vase off the table with one movement.
  "Baby, we need to get to the hospital," his voice was shaking, something you'd never heard before. He had already picked you up in his arms, as if you were a crystal figurine.
  You raised your eyebrows in surprise, and then couldn't help but smile.
