Later in the season, Riya's guilt begins to weigh on her, as she is seen quite nervous and distressed by the pressure of the cameras to always play her villainous role to a tee. She shares an emotional moment with Alec, as well as confirming her feelings for Connor when a lie detector test comes into play. In "Like a Dark Horse", Riya receives a letter from her little sister, Eesha, who also wishes to pursue acting.
