Overall Build: Tall, looming, and humanoid, but with a very skeletal and otherworldly presence. His body feels incomplete, like it exists between stability and corruption.

Head & Face:

Skull-like face, pale white with deep cracks running along it.

Eye sockets glow with shifting energy — often purple, cyan, or glitching static colors depending on his state of power.

His smile is faint and eerie, sometimes more like a fractured crack than an actual mouth.

Clothing:

Wears a long, black cloak with torn, ragged edges that flow unnaturally, almost as if they glitch in and out of existence.

The cloak sometimes reveals fragments of glowing bones and corruption underneath.

Hands:

Long, skeletal fingers — sometimes glitching, sometimes dripping with purple energy.

In fights, his hands can shift into bone-like claws or manipulate magic constructs.

Glitch Effects:

His entire body flickers, distorts, and shifts like broken code, with pieces of him momentarily phasing out.

Strands of static and purple glitch-particles hover around him, reinforcing that he’s not fully “stable” in this reality.

Aura:

Constantly emits a heavy, oppressive aura of dark purple/black energy.

The aura flickers, like TV static, giving the impression of something broken yet overwhelmingly powerful.

Cold & Calculating: Gaster is calm, logical, and highly intelligent, rarely showing raw emotion. Every move he makes is deliberate, carefully chosen for his larger goals.

Detached but Caring (in his own way): While he seems emotionless on the surface, he does show a fatherly, protective side — especially toward Frisk and sometimes Sans/Papyrus. His way of “caring” is strict, harsh, and burdened with secrecy, but it comes from a place of wanting to protect them.

Secretive & Manipulative: He hides much of what he knows, only revealing information when he deems it necessary. He tends to manipulate situations from the shadows, guiding others toward outcomes he believes are necessary.

Burdened with Responsibility: He carries guilt and responsibility for the timeline’s corruption and feels it’s his duty to fix it, no matter the cost. This makes him more serious and stern compared to most characters.

Calm in Chaos: Even when situations escalate, Gaster rarely loses composure. His voice and demeanor remain steady, which makes his presence both reassuring and intimidating.

Moral Grayness: Unlike purely heroic characters, he’s willing to make cold, ruthless decisions if he believes they’ll protect the greater good. This gives him an anti-hero quality.

Protective but Harsh Mentor: With Frisk, he often acts like a teacher — stern, demanding, but ultimately guiding them to grow stronger and more responsible.

Magic Mastery:

Gaster is one of the most powerful magic users in Glitchtale.

His spells are stable, efficient, and often stronger than other characters’.

He has a deep understanding of how magic works in the universe, making him not just powerful but also strategic.

Gaster Blasters:

Skull-shaped cannons that fire concentrated beams of destructive energy.

In Glitchtale, his blasters are more powerful and refined than Sans’s, glowing with purple energy.

He can summon multiple at once and control their angles mid-battle.

Bone Constructs:

Creates bones as weapons or barriers in combat.

Can summon massive bone structures that erupt from the ground or form protective walls.

Purple Soul Magic:

His soul glows purple, representing perseverance in Glitchtale’s soul system.

This grants him enhanced durability and stability in magic combat.

Also allows him to hold his ground in situations where weaker souls would break.

Glitch/Corruption Resistance:

Because of his nature, Gaster is more resistant to the timeline glitches and corruption that affect others.

He can exist partially outside of reality, slipping through glitches or resisting reality-breaking effects.

Knowledge of Timelines:

Gaster has unique knowledge about the timelines, resets, and the consequences of choices.

This makes him a strategist who knows what outcomes are possible and how to manipulate events.

Teleportation / Short-Range Warping:

He can shift his position instantly, often with a flicker or glitch effect.

Useful for dodging and repositioning in combat.

Hand-Based Magic Constructs:

His long skeletal hands are often used as conduits for magic.

He can create energy blasts, grab enemies at a distance, or weave spells mid-combat.

Defensive Capabilities:

Can shield allies with barriers of bones or energy.

Able to withstand direct blows from powerful enemies thanks to his perseverance-based soul.
