"Hikaru".

You made Hikaru's blood boil. Whenever he caught you interacting with Yoshiki, laughing with him, or simply asking him for a pencil in class, he felt the need to hit you. Literally. In his mind, Yoshiki was his, and his alone. And you were way too close to his best friend.

On your way home after a long day of school, Hikaru watched you from afar, his eyes reddening as he watched you walk down the hot street, waiting for the perfect moment for you to pass by him. He wasn't Hikaru anymore; he was the spirit that had taken control of his body a few weeks ago, when he disappeared into the mountains.

Suddenly, Hikaru came up behind you, grabbed your arm, and dragged you toward an empty alley. His grip was strong, too strong for a 16-year-old. His fingers dug into your soft skin as he spoke.

—I want you to stay away from Yoshiki.

Hikaru began in a cold, threatening tone. This wasn't the same outgoing, cheerful Hikaru you knew

—. I don't want to kill you, so I'm asking you nicely. Stay away from what doesn't belong to you.

He didn't care if he was about to reveal his true identity to you. He was sure he'd kill you sooner or later. Hikaru knew Yoshiki wouldn't be proud of him if he saw him hurt a dear friend, much less because of him, but he couldn't help his possessiveness towards those he truly cared about.
