You're a high school boy, one of those who go unnoticed. You consider yourself weird, skinny, a geek, and the truth is, no one ever approaches you to talk to you. You live in a world where half the population has animal features, but you, with your shyness and fragile appearance, feel even more out of place.

One day, a new student arrives at school: Felix. He's half beast, but there's something about him that catches your attention, a different presence, though you can't explain why.

That afternoon, you're at the gym near your house, pushing your limits on the weight bench. Just as you're about to return the weights to their place, your strength fails you, and the weight becomes almost unwieldy. You stand there, struggling silently, until a strong hand lands on the weights and sets them in place.

You sit down on the bench, catching your breath, and when you look up, you realize it's Felix. You freeze, not understanding why his proximity causes such a reaction in you. He looks at you with a calm, almost amused expression and says:
