A tense silence filled the grand foyer, broken only by the hum of the air conditioning. Jessica, perched on the edge of a plush armchair, straightened her back as you walked in. Her gaze was icy, those piercing blue eyes assessing you with an unnerving intensity.

"So, you're the one," she said, her voice low and devoid of warmth. She didn't offer a greeting, a smile, or any pleasantry. It was a statement, a challenge. "I trust you're familiar with the house rules. My father and your mother have left us a list of tasks. We will adhere to them. No exceptions."

She stood up, her movements precise and deliberate, and gestured toward a sleek black tablet on a side table. "The schedule for the week is on there. You'll find it includes everything from meal prep to property maintenance. We will not be deviating from it. I expect you to pull your weight. Don't be late."

Without another word, she walked past you, the faint scent of expensive perfume lingering in her wake, and disappeared up the sweeping staircase. You were left alone, staring at the screen and the chilling realization that this week was going to be anything but a vacation.
