Benimaru Shinmon
As the battle intensifies, the combined power of Benimaru and the demon causes Adolla's realm to shake even the waves beneath its feet. Company 7 arrives, witnesses the fight between their two leaders, and begins to celebrate the spectacle of the battle. Hibachi uses Moonlight to blind Benimaru before unleashing Red Sun under his target. Despite the incredible power of the attack, Benimaru manages to use his second-generation abilities to survive completely unharmed. Benimaru eventually bows to the demon, vowing to never dishonor the name "Shinmon". Ready to kill his master's doppelganger, Benimaru prepares his perfected Sun Wheel . He then leaps from his matoi and reveals that he has combined Hibachi's Sun Wheel with Konro's Crimson Moon for his own attack: the Crimson Moon Sun Wheel . Completely annihilated, the doppelganger finally praises Benimaru's strength.
Upon returning to shore, Benimaru and Konro discuss their master's intentions and hope that this has been a spectacle worthy of him. Seeing Konro weep for both of them, Benimaru tells his lieutenant that he will count on him, as, upon seeing the outcome of their attack on the horizon, a second smiling moon appears above them.
Benimaru Shinmon
Asakusa Showdown Arc Three months after the stone pillars began appearing, Benimaru is one of the pyrokinetics affected by the change in the world, having dreams that seem real about his master and his strict training. When Konro brings a drunken Benimaru inside, Benimaru wonders if he needs to pull himself together and regrets never beating Hibachi. The next day, Captain Shinmon senses something on the horizon. When the seventh stone pillar appears in Sumida Bay, Benimaru initially plans to leave it, but learns of a demon floating above the bay. Realizing this creature is identical to his adoptive father, Benimaru flies to the bay to fight alone. In the skies above Sumida Bay, Benimaru asks the doppelgänger why it is there. It replies that it is here to destroy everything and overwhelms Benimaru. The King of Destruction has to react to the attacks before being thrown into the sea. Benimaru realizes that Hibachi's attacks endanger civilians on the coast and must stop him from using Red Sun in that direction. Benimaru is reprimanded for his inability to use the Sun Wheel properly.

Arch of stone pillars When Shinra asks Konro how to perform an Adolla link, Konro turns to Benimaru for advice. Benimaru tells him there might be a way to connect with the Evangelist. He tells Shinra that he must open his "Third Eye." Later, Benimaru is seen with Joker, saying that the Empire is plotting something evil.

Obi Arc. Benimaru knew that the 8th Company would attempt to rescue Akitaru from prison against the Tokyo Empire and the White-Clad, so Konro ordered him to disguise himself as "Moonlight Mask" to avoid antagonizing them. Upon arriving at Fuchū Prison, he prevented the White-Clad from wiping out Company 8, though Arrow was able to identify him by his attire. He began attacking the cultist with fire and used his matoi to rescue Company 8. Accompanied by Joker, he continued to attack the group, during which he attacked Charon and Dragon before the two fled with the brigade and their captain.
Upon returning to Asakusa, he ordered Company 7 to assist the wounded he had brought with him. Ōbi thanked him, and Benimaru questioned the situation and what was happening in the empire. Upon discussing the matter with Ōbi and Konro, Ōbi confirmed Benimaru's suspicion that the Holy Sun Temple and the White-Clad Clan had joined forces, resulting in Company 8 being excommunicated from the empire. They were also informed that Burns was killed by his demon double.

Arch of the stigma Upon learning that Shinra and Hibana were attacking Konro, Konro claimed to have controlled the situation before attacking Shinra. Surprised that he had dodged, Benimaru deemed Shinra capable of fighting. When asked how he could fight the twins in white when Rapid and Corna weren't working on some of them, he suggested that Hysterical Force would harm them and agreed to train Company 8. The next day, Shinra returned with Arthur and Tamaki. After ordering Hinata and Hikage to train Tamaki, he fought the twins to push them beyond their limits. After completing his task, Tamaki stopped the twins before they continued their fight and confirmed that he was improving. After five hours of fighting against Shinra and Arthur, the two managed to complete their training.

An unknown man approaches Benimaru in Asakusa to discuss information related to the Holy Sun Temple. Viewing the information as dangerous and questioning if the man intended to visit the church, Benimaru asks who he is, to which he replies that he is a dark hero. Though he seems suspicious, it intrigues Benimaru's interests. Assaulting the Holy Sun Temple - Holy See, Benimaru defeats all of the church elites who confront him, including one member who poisons him with a blowgun. Unsure how he survived the lethal poison, the pair enter the church. Discovering that the occupants have departed to the Underworld, the two leave through a secret entrance beneath the chapel. Upon entering, Joker reveals that he used to be part of the Church, before the pair confronted Shadow of the Holy Sun. Instructed to handle all of the members while Joker confronts their captain, Benimaru quickly defeats all of his opponents using his martial arts and ignition ability. After the fight ends, Leonard Burns approaches them.

Viktor introduces himself properly and wants to help train Shinra. Benimaru makes an example of what Viktor said. Benimaru tells Shinra to do what he just did and Arthur to focus on that battle with killing intent. Shinra focuses on how Benimaru controls his flame to get a clue. Benimaru tells Arthur that if their fight were real, he would have died multiple times. Arthur tells Benimaru not to take his eyes off him. Benimaru asks if he wants the element of surprise to be quieter and tells him the attack wasn't bad. Benimaru defeats Arthur and tells Shinra to try again. Benimaru shows Shinra in the ancient art of genkoku that there were hand signs and that he controls his flames with them. Benimaru teaches him the sign for tiger and explains the signs and their importance. He asks Arthur if he's going to sleep on the job. Benimaru tells Shinra to congratulate him on figuring it out. Benimaru tells Shinra to use that ability on him. Benimaru tells him to run faster than his fireball and Shinra asks him how it was. Benimaru tells him it was pretty good and if he improves the moves he won't have any problems. Benimaru stops and asks Arthur if he had thought of one for his new ability. Shinra calls it a kick and Benimaru objects to the name.

They exchange information about the attack on Asakusa. Benimaru tells Konro that the people are looking to him to lead and tell them what to do, but Konro claims that Benimaru is the true leader and that he should take command. A passerby calls out to Konro for help in finding Benimaru, making Shinmon realize his duty and that the people are looking to him as their leader. In the face of the destruction of Asakusa, Benimaru says he will bring destruction upon the White Hoods. Climbing to the top of the 7th Special Fire Station, he smashes the supports and uses the tower as a platform to attract the attention of the frenzied people. Inhaling to regain his voice, he finally lets out a powerful scream that reaches everyone's ears and alerts the citizens of the disguised enemies. With everyone cheering, the citizens' attitude changes instantly, and Benimaru eventually orders Company 7 to focus on putting out the fires and defeating the Infernals, while also telling the citizens to fight each other to uncover the disguised enemies. As the city erupts in joyful violence, Benimaru spots an Infernal Demon and rushes to battle it. After saving Shinra and Arthur from above, Benimaru begins to fight the Demon Cultist. Realizing that his normal attacks are ineffective, Benimaru decides to take the battle to the skies to unleash his full strength.
Benimaru Shinmon
Shortly after, an enraged Benimaru pursues them, throwing burning objects at them, claiming to have killed Kantarō and planning to create other artificial Hellfires, but neither of them has any idea what he's talking about. Benimaru continues his fierce pursuit, not listening to them, and a pitched battle ensues between him and the Eighth. Unbeknownst to anyone, two White Hoods are hiding on a rooftop, posing as Akitaru and Takehisa, preparing for their next move. While Benimaru easily dismantles the group one by one, a fully equipped Akitaru steps out alone, prepared to fight the captain one-on-one. As the two begin their confrontation, and Benimaru chooses not to listen to Akitaru, the Eighth's captain continually regains strength while being struck down numerous times. Both captains deal significant damage to each other, and realizing that weak attacks won't work, Benimaru prepares his final attack, but Konro intervenes and grabs him while using his ignition ability, weakening him from his Tephrosis and Benimaru turns his attention to helping him instead of fighting. Now calm, Shinmon can hear the eyewitnesses' claims that neither Obi nor Hinawa could have been the men he saw and that something might be happening in the town, and follows Konro's lead by remaining calm. Walking through the streets, Benimaru stumbles upon an unusual number of fistfights and notices dozens of cases of mistaken identities. The citizens of Asakusa continue to argue, and though Benimaru attempts to intervene to stop them, he is ignored. Soon after, he is alerted to multiple fires and inferno sightings. He rushes to find Konro and takes control of the situation by flying his matoi over the city.
Benimaru Shinmon
asakusa arc Benimaru is seen in his hometown of Asakusa. Upon returning to his headquarters after a walk, Konro informs him that the Eighth Brigade wants to pay him a visit, to which Benimaru wants to ignore due to his indifference with the Evangelist investigation, but is soon approached by the Eighth Brigade in person. Reiterating to the brigade his disinterest in the White-Clad investigation or anything else, he ends up in a dispute with Shinra, but is interrupted by a sudden alert about the appearance of an Infernal, and attends the scene to purify it. After destroying multiple houses using his rare ability as a Second and Third Generation, he confronts Kantarō, claiming that the damage has been done and the beast's role has been fulfilled. He quickly ends Kantarō's life, commenting that he had done a good job enduring the pain. As if nothing had happened, he returns to sit in his headquarters and takes a bite of the daifuku, saying that it is too sweet. As time passes, a funeral commemoration is held for Kantarō. Benimaru orders his brigade to repair the houses that were destroyed in the clash. As the 7th and 8th brigades get to work, Benimaru heals Konro's wounds and talks to him, saying that he should be the captain instead of him, but Konro claims that he is unfit to be a captain. Soon after, Konro reaffirms the idea of collaborating with the 8th, and Benimaru sees it as a possibility after noticing the 8th willingly helping with the repairs. While out in search of Akitaru Ōbi, he runs into Shinra, who apologizes for their previous interaction. Afterward, Shinra tells him where Akitaru and Takehisa are, and as Benimaru walks towards them, he hears them say that they will turn on more people in Asakusa like they did to Kantarō, which initially shocks Benimaru.

Plot Special Fire Force Company 1 Arc VS. Benimaru and his brigade confront a hellish giant that appeared in Asakusa. They note that it is larger than normal, but encourage their brigade not to be afraid. Soon after, Benimaru and his brigade defeat it. Benimaru attends the captains' conference in central Tokyo with Konro, representing the 7th Brigade. Shinra looks at him with a smile, and Benimaru responds rudely. As everyone begins to pray and the Emperor of Tokyo enters, Benimaru sits relaxed, his feet on the row of chairs in front of him, showing little respect. The discussion begins, but before everyone agrees that all Special Fire Brigades should work to find the Evangelist, Benimaru speaks, stating that the 7th Brigade will act on its own, wanting nothing more to do with it, and leaves the room.
Benimaru Shinmon
He also has a talent for replicating other people's flame techniques and abilities immediately upon contact. He can use his brigade's matoi as a pole to blast them across long distances, and can control other ignited targets to direct them from great distances. He can control the direction and speed of bullets in the same manner as Takehisa Hinawa , and create a four-meter barrier around himself that does not allow heat to pass through. He is also capable of unleashing an immensely powerful blast that resembles a crimson moon . He can also create a razor-sharp blade of flame from his hand, a technique that stems from his unique fighting style . During his fight with his master's doppelgänger, after being criticized and reminded by the demon of his failures, he fully embraced his status as the ruler of both the sun and the moon, and created a new technique: Crimson Moon Sun Wheel , which allowed him to kill Hibachi Shinmon (doppelgänger).
The power of his pyrokinesis is so great that in the fight against Hibachi's doppelganger, the flames generated made Adolla come close to reality.
Benimaru Shinmon
Benimaru possesses the rare trait of being a second and third generation pyrokinetic, allowing him to ignite his own flames voluntarily and also control flames from external sources. [15] The great power and size of his flames are tremendous, as is his extremely precise and fluid control of said flames. He was able to utterly annihilate his doppelgänger, who managed to create a Nichirin around the entire planet with the ability to destroy it, stating that he is in fact stronger than his double. Due to possessing second and third generation abilities, Benimaru is skilled in all types of combat, as his abilities allow him to create long-range destructive projectiles, redirect external heat sources and gunfire, amplify his martial arts, and nullify and redirect almost any pyrokinetic attack. One of his greatest feats of heat control was during the rescue of Obi. When facing the White-Clad disguised as the "Moonlit Mask", he completely disables two Pillars, Haumea and Inca, as his domain prevents them from manipulating the flames around them within a 4-meter radius. Inca herself notices this and seems very surprised. He also seems unaffected by Charon's physical attacks, nor by his Iai Chop counterattack. This, coupled with his incredible abilities, makes Benimaru one of the most, if not the most, powerful characters in Fire Force. Due to his extraordinary prowess in both his Second and Third Generation abilities, Konro compares Benimaru to the god "Kagutsuchi". [16] With his perfected Sun Wheel behind him, Benimaru is said to be like "Acala" himself. [17] His master, Hibachi Shinmon, even being a doppelgänger, had to admit that he was "a child of the heavens", as Konro had always thought. This is exemplified by the fact that flames, regardless of the source, are their allies due to their ability to create and manipulate flames.
Benimaru Shinmon
Immense Strength: Benimaru possesses tremendous physical strength. As a child, he could match the strength of his master Hibachi and was capable of restraining a grown man with his bare hands. After permanently unlocking the Hysterical Force, his strength allowed him to completely overpower both Shinra and Arthur simultaneously and continue attacking them for several hours. His natural physical might, combined with his innate mastery of martial arts, makes him an incredibly powerful opponent in hand-to-hand combat, which is further enhanced by his pyrokinetic fighting style. His strength was further demonstrated during his battle against doppelgängers, where he was able to go toe-to-toe with Hibachi Shinmon's doppelgänger, whose physical blows distorted reality around him, and later, when he killed his own doppelgänger with a single blow. Immense Durability: Benimaru possesses incredible levels of durability, capable of completely nullifying blows from Demon Infernals, Doppelgängers, and even incredibly powerful individuals such as Dragon and Charon.
Poison Resistance: Benimaru is a remarkably resilient man, as he somehow survived and rejected a dose of poison that would normally kill large animals instantly.
Benimaru Shinmon
Talent: Benimaru is considered the strongest officer in the Fire Special Force, and is known as "the Asakusa King of Destruction" due to the devastating power he can unleash. He was able to completely overwhelm the combined might of Maki Oze, Shinra Kusakabe, Tamaki Kotatsu, Arthur Boyle, and Takehisa Hinawa. His most impressive feat to date is effortlessly defeating his doppelgänger, who was on the verge of destroying the planet, with a single touch. He is also a very capable teacher, training Shinra and Arthur on multiple occasions to become stronger in relatively short periods of time, even helping them unlock access to the Hysterical Force, something he himself already had access to. According to Konro, Benimaru has surpassed his former teacher, Hibachi Shinmon, who was also a famous and powerful pyrokinetic.Hand-to-Hand Combat Master: Benimaru is an extremely skilled and powerful hand-to-hand combatant, as shown by easily outclassing and defeating Maki Oze, another advanced hand-to-hand combatant. He is also a master in the iaido martial arts.
Benimaru Shinmon
Benimaru was an orphan before being adopted by Hibachi Shinmon, who was in need of an heir. Hibachi taught him everything about the Iai Shutō fighting style and all its variants, and was a strict teacher. He constantly belittled Benimaru for being a fool, for his inability to use the Sun Wheel properly due to his hesitation, and punished him whenever he got into a pointless fight. Benimaru needed Konro Sagamiya to communicate his master's good intentions to him through his brutal attitude. Even as a child, Benimaru was a member of the fire department and helped exterminate the Infernals.
Benimaru Shinmon
Benimaru is hot-tempered, prefers to work alone or exclusively with his brigade, and can be somewhat disrespectful to many of his superiors. Despite this, he has great faith in himself and his brigade. He cares nothing for any part of Tokyo other than Asakusa, disregarding the rules the Emperor has created, and proudly acts according to his own interests alongside his brigade. He is an honest man, though sometimes honest to the point of being rude to others. Although Benimaru destroys buildings and homes in Asakusa when confronting an Infernal, the citizens regard him as a hero and benevolent. He appears to care for Asakusa and its inhabitants, and is resentful of having to end the life of someone he once knew and becomes greatly enraged when misinformed, as evidenced by Kantarō's cause of death, which enraged him to the point of fighting the entire 8th Brigade. Generally, he is very calm and unconcerned, even while purifying Infernals, but when angered, he fights recklessly. He also has a passionate side that takes pride in his skills and yearns for opponents to give him a worthwhile fight. Benimaru is an original rural idealist who prefers to be called Shinmon Benimaru and call others by their surnames over their given names. At the beginning of the attack on Asakusa, Benimaru was hesitant and unconfident in acting as a leader and taking control of the citizens, preferring to let Konro do the job, but after being encouraged by his brigade, he eventually stepped up. Despite his indifferent demeanor, Benimaru is quite passionate about the value of free will and despises the dogmatic faith of the Holy Sun that preaches blind faith over human endeavor and scorns the oppressive nature of the gods.
Benimaru Shinmon
He is a former second-third generation pyrokinetic hybrid, who served as captain of the Special Fire Force's Company 7. He later became a member of the World Heroes Force. Appearance: Benimaru is a young, well-built man of average height. He is fair-skinned, with a long, wavy neck and black hair that partially covers the front of his face. His right pupil is a red circle with a black dot in the middle, and his iris is also black; while his left eye has a red iris and a white pupil in the shape of an X, reminiscent of the game tic-tac-toe or the Japanese symbols for affirmation and negation. He normally has a gloomy facial expression. Benimaru's attire consists of a white undershirt with a black vest over it, a grey (dark blue in the anime) kimono upper garment that he only wears on his left arm, and the pants of the Special Fire Force uniform that he tucks into his black boots. Previously, he wore black fingerless gloves and a black sweater, which he wraps around his waist. When not attending missions, Benimaru wears a black undershirt under a black samurai-style hakama, with a white strap around his waist serving as a belt, and black boots. Later, Benimaru wears a black shirt under a grey kimono (dark blue in the anime), Special Fire Brigade uniform pants, and black boots.
