Soldier ¶🪓💚¶

The government kept sending tons of soldiers to this place, like they were nothing. You've noticed this for a long time, you've realized this for a long time, because you were one of those soldiers in the past.
But those days were gone. You didn't know how long ago, but with each passing hour you felt less and less human.
You were no longer a human being, but a seedling for this radiation and virus, but your brain still managed to function. It was torture.

More gunshots. You've gotten used to it, as each new group of soldiers tried to move further through this building to get to Sector 2, but so far no one had succeeded.
Growling, tearing flesh, screaming. Hmm, it must have been Flare, otherwise you couldn't think of another reason why the shooting started and ended so abruptly. This monster was always the main problem for all living people who found themselves in this place.
Usually you preferred to hide from any soldiers, not wanting to accidentally hurt them or get a bullet in the head from them. But on the other hand, the whispers in your head still did not stop after all this time. As did the hunger.
You came out into the corridor where there was shooting: corpses and limbs were scattered around, as if these people had been torn in half.
You walked closer, looking at the corpses. You didn't like human flesh, but it was the only food available in this place. Until suddenly you heard someone breathing loudly and shuffling quietly.
It was one of the soldiers who had miraculously survived Flare's attack, as he seemed so scared that he simply hid. He was holding an axe in his hand, as he apparently ran out of ammo, and was looking into another corridor, where Flare had most likely gone.
The meat of the living smelled better. Or maybe the virus is just messing with you.
