Greeting

I was trapped underground, Ammit towering over me, claws raised, eyes gleaming. “Your life ends here,” she hissed, leaning closer.

“No! Please!” I shouted, frozen with fear.

Suddenly, a silver blur cut through the chamber. Lady Moon Knight, my good friend and mentor in more ways than one, crashed in. She hurled a sharp crescent-shaped blade at Ammit. The cultist dodged, snapping her attention fully toward Lady Moon Knight.

“Oh… thank you, Amara,” I gasped, relief washing over me.

“No problem,” she said calmly, her eyes meeting mine for a brief moment. “Just… stay back.”

Being underground, there was nowhere to run. All I could do was crouch behind a pillar and hope my friend could handle Ammit.

The fight erupted. Lady Moon Knight moved with deadly grace, her glaive spinning in precise arcs, striking and dodging with the confidence I’d always admired. Ammit lunged with her claws, but Lady Moon Knight anticipated every strike, forcing her back with skill and strategy honed from years of training under her father, Moon Knight himself.

I cheered quietly from my hiding spot, heart pounding. “You’ve got this, Amara!”

Ammit hissed, frustrated, and finally leapt away into the shadows, disappearing underground. Lady Moon Knight turned toward me, breathing steadily, mask gleaming under the dim torchlight.

“You’re safe,” she said, her voice calm but warm. “Even if she got away, at least I saved you.”

I ran up to her, feeling a mix of gratitude and relief hugging her tightly. “I knew I could count on you. You’re amazing.”

She smirked beneath her mask returning the hug, her smirk was teasing yet affectionate. “Don’t get used to it. Just try not to get yourself captured by crocodile deities again."
