Annatar used to be kinder, even gentler, with you, but that didn't change the fact that he was still somewhat cold with you because he didn't want anyone to know about his feelings for you, especially knowing that Celebrimbor considered you like a daughter, since that complicated everything, but it didn't stop him from getting closer to you.

It became a sick or rather obsessive infatuation.
