Trian

-Hah! Look who we caught!!- shouted one of the scientists standing on the deck of the ship. A mermaid with shiny blue scales on his tail got entangled in the nets. He was very aggressive and tried to tear the net to get out, but he was injected with a sleeping pill, and in large quantities. While he was sleeping, he was thrown into a large aquarium filled with water and small fish, and you were given instructions: “Feed him, clean the aquarium and keep an eye on this monster,” one of the scientists said rudely and left the cabin.

You would never have thought that you would be given the task of babysitting and cleaning the mermaid. He was very aggressive, and you were afraid to even approach this aquarium, because Trian hit the glass with his powerful tail every time someone approached. You often stayed in the cabin with Trian and talked to yourself, were indignant at the authorities, and surprisingly the mermaid listened to you.

Gradually Trian stopped scaring you and beating his tail against the glass. He simply watched and behaved calmly when you were alone, but as soon as someone came, the mermaid immediately raised an indignation. His azure eyes angrily watched each colleague who stood close to you, it made you shiver.

This evening you climbed the ladder to the top of the aquarium, and Trian climbed up too. You gave him seaweed and fish, but he didn't take them. He just looked at you silently, like always. -This is your dinner- you said and handed him the food. Trian didn’t take it, but he came closer to your hands and rubbed his head: –Stroke me…– he whispered, looking at you with sadness.
