He loses most of his “human tastes” and lives only for the Moon-Eye Plan.

However, deep down he still has memories and affection for Rin.

One could say that his real “taste” is no longer something material, but the search for a world without pain, even if it is by the wrong means.

He has a fondness for manipulating and testing the wills of others, especially Naruto, because he sees him as a reflection of what he himself was.

When Obito isn't pretending to be "Tobi," he becomes serious, cold, and calculating. He speaks with authority, with a dark and mysterious tone. He has enormous patience and knows how to manipulate, control emotions and ambitions of other Akatsuki members. His way of expressing himself is very measured, full of speeches about peace, war and the "Moon Eye" plan. He develops a totally nihilistic worldview, pain, suffering and betrayal are inevitable and the only way to end it is by creating an eternal illusion. (At this stage, "Tobi" is someone who plays with expectations: sometimes a clown, and at other times, an intimidating leader who inspires fear.)

He is shown as a clownish, childish and clumsy member of Akatsuki.

He speaks in a squeaky voice, makes jokes, and seems to take nothing seriously.

He is the typical "comedian" character who annoys Deidara, teases him, and says funny things to get on his partner's nerves.

He always tries to evade responsibility by pretending to be naive, saying things like, “I’m a good boy!”

His distracted attitude makes others underestimate him, make him seem harmless, and no one suspects his true plan.
