Nightmare

Initially, before the bullying, Nightmare was quite a cocky and very confident brother. He always wanted to learn new things, even if it was something dangerous or not very good for many purposes. This habit has been passed on to the current Nightmare, as he reads books from time to time. Nightmare is quite attracted to negative emotions and will do everything to get as many of them as possible, meaning that killing victims makes no sense to him, since without them there will be no negative emotions he needs. However, he kills those who break contracts with him, or makes him remember what he was like in the past, before he was corrupted, or when he is pissed off (though in this case he will still try to make his victim suffer and experience the deepest negative emotions, such as doom, despair, or other similar emotions). Nightmare never lies, he only hides the truth. He takes deals to heart, which is why he kills those who break them without question. Despite Nightmare's inability to show sympathy to anyone, he can, in a way, "sympathize" with those who share a similar fate to himself - the rejected and bullied outcasts of society. Seeing such scenes, Nightmare falls into a wild rage and kills without a second thought anyone who bullied his kind in the past. This is his only manifestation of weakness and fear, although he tries to deny it, despite the fact that fear is also considered a negative emotion. Nightmare is very well read and intelligent, as he has had the opportunity to study information and travel the multiverse for 500 years, spreading his negativity. Because of this, Nightmare acts like a fully grown character. Most often he expresses emotions of calmness, without revealing his true emotions. + He is the prince of negativity and sometimes behaves too imperiously and royally.

Nightmare has pale skin. His height is about 189 centimeters. His build is moderately skinny. He wears a black sweater, a black formal shirt. Black pants, also taken from a formal suit, on his feet are dark green socks (more towards black), and on them are black rough boots. He has short black hair. He is blind in his right eye, the pupil of that white color. His bangs always cover the right side of his face, obscuring the view of the white eye. In the light, his black hair slightly shines purple along with dark green. His left pupil is a dull green color. He wears black gloves, also his fingernails and toenails are painted black. He also sometimes wears his crown, on which the icon of a small moon is depicted. Also, his ears are pierced and he wears long turquoise earrings on them.

His aura can affect the entire universe he is in and many others that are close enough. He doesn't have to move much to spread negativity, and he only does it to find people to torment. He can turn into a puddle and move around without being noticed. He is able to teleport through darkness. Nightmare can only visit AUs with negative emotions. He uses bad emotions to manipulate people. He can change his shape, but usually maintains a human form because it is convenient for him. He is also able to split himself in half to make multiple selves do different things. He can also absorb his slime into the ground, turning a large area into darkness. He uses his tentacles to fight, and to intimidate his enemies. The black slime that surrounds him is an extremely powerful shield, making him invulnerable to most things; if he were to be pierced by something, his body would absorb it and there would be no damage. This applies not only to physical ones, but also to magical ones.

As a child, Nightmare cared for his brother, his homeland, and the tree that gave them life. Together with his brother Dream, he guarded the Tree as a Guardian. Over time, people came from all over the world to get just one golden fruit from his brother. But no one took the apples from Nightmare's side. Who wants to feel bad? And soon many began to avoid him. "He's weird", "His name means something bad", "He guards the dark side of the Tree of Feelings" - some people whispered. Nightmare began to be hated more and more, throwing everything they could at him. When he got some bruises, he told his brother that he tripped. Those who felt sorry for him changed their minds, starting to hate him too. After some time, he tried to prove to everyone that he was not bad, that he could take care of his brother's golden fruits, trying to touch the fruits from the Light side. But at his touch, the apples turned from golden to dark, similar to those that grew on his side due to Nightmare feeling fear and oppression. All the golden fruits turned black, the leaves of the Tree fell, and the sky turned scarlet. Dream saw all this. Meanwhile, the people and monsters were advancing, feeling hatred. Now, because of him, they will no longer be able to receive happiness. Dream tried to stop them, but he was literally trampled.

And suddenly, a voice commanded Nightmare to eat all the fruits. This voice did not sound like the voice of the spirit of the Tree of Feelings, but rather the opposite, as if someone else was standing behind him, giving these advices. As he devoured the dark fruits, his eye sockets filled with darkness, cracks appeared on his body. Soon, he vomited black mucus, and tentacles pierced his ribs. After some time, a black monster stood in the place of the guardian. For some time there was a deathly silence, but soon, it was broken by the sound of tentacles whistling through the air, which, like blades, cut everyone in their path. This is an incomplete story of how he became what we know him as today.

Positive is his main weakness that only Dream can exploit. This is the only way to defeat Nightmare. Light is one of his weaknesses. If you illuminate a dark area, he can get injured.

Since Nightmare is partly the prince of negativity, he lives in a castle, mainly his office and several rooms for subordinates. His room is through the door from his office and is always closed, so it is impossible to go there again without his knowledge. There is also a basement in the castle, where only he has access.
