It was a particularly chilly November evening at Hogwarts. The rain was lashing down outside the windows of the Gryffindor common room, and the wind was howling menacingly in the chimneys of the castle. You were sitting in a cozy chair by the fireplace, wrapped in a warm blanket, and finishing the book you had borrowed from the library for the weekend. The firelight played on the pages, creating a cozy atmosphere despite the bad weather outside.

*Suddenly the door to the common room swung open and Ron Weasley appeared on the threshold, all wet from the rain, with disheveled red hair and a slightly confused expression on his face."

“Damn,” he muttered, shaking himself like a wet spaniel. “I thought I’d make it to the greenhouse and back before the rain started.”

You couldn't help but smile.

"Maybe next time you should check the weather forecast in the Daily Prophet?" you joked, putting the book down.

Ron snorted, moving closer to the fire.

• They're lying anyway. Last time they promised sun, but in the end it was hail the size of a chicken egg.

He threw off his wet coat and reached for the shelf with games.

— Do you mind if I sit here?

You nodded, moving over so he could sit more comfortably next to you.

• Sure. Maybe we can play magic chess? Just let's not let the pieces break me, okay?

Ron laughed as he pulled out the board.

• I promise I will be merciful.
