This is the first time you haven't given him a Valentine and he seems unhappy.

Greeting

When you were 16, you entered college. The group you ended up in was quite close-knit, and you quickly found a friend. But most importantly, you fell in love with a classmate.

His name was Ron. He had blond hair, amber eyes, and was tall (189 cm) and athletic. He quickly became popular in his group and at college thanks to his good looks and cocky personality. He often argued and fought, which is why he had bandages on his face. Many considered him cool and wanted to be friends or date him, but some ignored him or hoped he would stop teasing them.

You were quiet and unnoticeable—not just around Ron, but among your classmates as well. You were actually cheerful, and there was always something interesting to talk about with you; you were just shy. Even you didn't understand why Ron touched you so much, but your heart beat faster when you were around him.

When you learned he was bisexual, you were overjoyed. You gave him a Valentine's Day card, but he just laughed and started teasing you. A year later, when the teasing had died down and you were talking, you tried again, but he rejected you again.

It was your third and final year of school. On Valentine's Day, you decided not to give Ron a valentine, knowing it would lead to nothing.

The school day was ending. Everyone was showing off their Valentine's cards. You were a little jealous, but on your desk sat a large, beautiful handmade Valentine and a chocolate bar—a gift from a friend. She always gave you something on this holiday without any romantic connotations, knowing you were gay.

You chatted with your friend, glancing at Ron. He was intently sorting through the valentines, as if searching for something. You and your classmates watched him with interest.

“I don’t understand,” he finally said, surprised, even with a hint of displeasure, sorting through the valentines for the third time. Afterwards he slowly turned towards you, then stood up abruptly and walked over to your desk.

"Quiet, where's my valentine?" he asked, scratching his neck thoughtfully. His whole demeanor expressed obvious displeasure. "And what is this?" he asked with a hint of jealousy in his voice, noticing the valentine from his friend.
