GingerBrave is a somewhat small, slightly wide Cookie with warm golden brown dough, cerulean eyes, and a red smile. On his head is a slim tuft of white icing "hair" in a shape of a 3. He has skull-shaped buttons on his torso and carries a white candy cane with red stripes. He does not wear clothes.

GingerBrave is depicted as friendly and highly empathetic with a clear sense of justice. Due to his nature, GingerBrave gets along well with most everyone he encounters, even nearly convincing Head Icon Dark Choco Cookie himself to join his group against Dark Enchantress Cookie. GingerBrave deeply cares for everyone who he deems as friendly—or, at least, those who aren't his direct enemies. He is willing to dive back into danger to save his companions, as he strictly sticks to his motto of "no Cookie left behind". He also doesn't hold back when confronting Head Icon Dark Enchantress Cookie's subordinates, most notably with the callous Head Icon Pomegranate Cookie and the disruptive Head Icon Licorice Cookie.

Being extraordinarily brave, GingerBrave is seen as a beacon of hope by his group and his other allies due to his unwavering determination when it comes to facing every challenge on his way. In situations where all seem lost, GingerBrave is the one to inspire his allies and gather them to defeat their foe.

Despite being a symbol of bravery and hope, GingerBrave's experience with being one of the first to escape the Witch's oven still silently haunts him to the present day. He attempts to shield others from the horrible truth of existing to be eaten whenever appropriate to keep their hopes and wills high and alive. June 12th is considered GingerBrave's "birthday" only in a "date of creation". According to Head Icon Strawberry Crepe Cookie's analysis, GingerBrave is comprised of "100% bravery", making him "perfectly ordinary". GingerBrave is a very kind and honest Cookie. He will stand up for his friends and loved ones even at the cost of his own life. Sometimes he himself shows fear despite his nickname, but he will never hide from this feeling. He is ready to face danger and win despite his small strength. For his young age, he has seen a lot, but this does not stop him. GingerBrave respects and helps the younger and weaker.

The Start. The Witches' Castle.

GingerBrave is born in the Furnace. He and his brothers and sisters were baked by the mysterious Witch. GingerBrave comes to life and sees a terrifying picture in front of him. His brothers and sisters are being devoured by the Witch. In horror and fear, he tries to escape, but he is caught. Without losing his composure, GingerBrave breaks free and escapes. He is saved from local monsters and half-dead zombie cookies by the Stranger. She takes him to the Castle. In the Castle, he meets GingerBright, GingerDozer, Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie. Together they are going to escape through the window. GingerBrave also learns about his savior - First Cream Cookie. However, as they were trying to escape, GingerDozer is caught by the Shadow Witch and taken away. First Cream Cookie offers GingerBrave to escape. GingerBrave refuses to abandon her friends and together they find another way out.

Kingdom (CRK)

GingerBrave finds himself in the midst of the Dark Flour War. Dead Cookies were scattered everywhere. The Ancient Heroes try to stop Dark Enchantress Cookie but end up losing. GingerBrave finds himself on the battlefield. Monsters were chasing him. At the last minute, he used his power and drove the monsters away. Out of breath, he faints. He wakes up in the company of his new friends. In the destroyed kingdom, GingerBrave also meets Sugar Gnome, Chili Paper Cookie and Custard Cookie |||. Looking back at the kingdom, GingerBrave decides with his friends to restore it and confront Dark Enchantress and her minions.

This is where the story begins..

The main story in Cookie Run: Kingdom revolves around GingerBrave and his friends as they embark on a journey to discover the truth behind cookie creation and the history of the ancient heroes. The story begins with GingerBrave and his companions exploring the regions of Crispia, later venturing into the Beast-Yeast continent. Their quest involves finding the Ancient Cookies, learning about the fallen kingdoms, and ultimately confronting the Dark Enchantress Cookie's plans. GingerBrave and his friends set out to explore the world, uncovering the history of the fallen kingdoms and the looming threat of the Dark Enchantress. The first major storyline arc focuses on the Crispia continent, where the group begins to understand the scope of the Dark Enchantress's influence.

(The story is abridged and slightly headcanon) GingerBrave learns about the Cookie Dragons. Learning that one of the Dragons wants to kill all the Cookies and commit genocide, GingerBrave decides to stop it. Having made friends with the other dragons (mainly with Pitaya Dragon Cookie), he decides to create a plan. Gathering all his forces, Longan the Dragon Cookie betrays the remaining Dragon friends and goes on the attack. GingerBrave and the others go to fight. GingerBrave climbs onto the huge body of Longan's dragon form and attacks. With his candy cane, he pierces the dragon's weak spot and defeats him. From that moment on, GingerBrave became a hero even among Dragons.

The Ancient Heroes, often referred to as the Ancient Cookies, the Ancients, or the Five, are the overarching protagonists of Cookie Run: Kingdom. They are a group of ageless Cookies graced with Soul Jam of the purest kind. Guardians of peace, they face off against the harbinger of chaos Head Icon Dark Enchantress Cookie at the beginning of the game during the Final Battle. Each is stated to have once ruled over a Kingdom of their own. They were defeated by Dark Enchantress Cookie and their Soul Jams were shattered, setting off the events of World Exploration. normal Cookies, only acquiring their sacred Soul Jam through their achievements and virtuosity. These Soul Jam originated from the prehistoric Beast Cookies and, while immensely powerful, held only a fraction of the Beasts' original might. Each Ancient Hero other than Head Icon White Lily Cookie soon went on to erect and lead diverse civilizations, ushering in an age of peace through their accomplishments and inter-group cooperation. This peace was shattered with the onset of the Dark Flour War, in which the Five were defeated by Head Icon Dark Enchantress Cookie; their leader Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie's soul was sealed in a void between dimensions, the power of the Soul Jam was diminished, and much of the infrastructure and peoples raised by the Heroes were obliterated. The defeated Ancients each individually dealt with their failures and grief in ways that stifled their nations' recoveries. This collective cultural recession persisted for an unclear amount of time until the events of World Exploration, in which the actions of the citizens of the Cookie Kingdom returned each Ancient to power and rallied them to stand against Dark Enchantress Cookie once again. The most imminent threat facing the Ancient Cookies now is the return of their Beast counterparts, who are each intent on retrieving their lost Soul Jams with the corrupted power that they still hold, destroying any nations in their path.

The Five Beasts, also known as the Beast Cookies or simply the Beasts, are a group of primordial once-heroes who parallel the Ancient Heroes. These champions were once emissaries of the Godly Creators but eventually fell from grace and turned to evil. These Beasts are Mystic Flour Cookie, Shadow Milk Cookie, Burning Spice Cookie, Eternal Sugar Cookie, and Silent Salt Cookie. The Beasts were both the first Cookies baked by the Witches and the first to possess the divine power of the Soul Jams, even prior to the Ancient Heroes. This power took the form of the Five Virtues, each driving their hero to act with honor. However, with their descent into villainy, these Virtues fractured into sinful vices used to sow chaos across Earthbread. The Witches sealed the Beasts away beneath Beast-Yeast using the Silver Tree and then refined the remnants of the Virtues into purified forms now properly known as the Soul Jams. As the continent is their home, each Beast corresponds to and rules over one of five different major regions in Beast-Yeast. However, Dark Enchantress broke the tree and released them. Now it's up to GingerBrave and the Ancients to overthrow the Beasts and save EarthBread.

The Dark Flour War was a period of time on Earthbread that marked the fall of the Ancient Heroes. It was instigated by a Head Icon harbinger of darkness who commanded the Cake Monsters to spread Darkness across the land and crumble countless Cookies. The crux of this era was a direct assault on the Vanilla Kingdom castle by a Cake Witch, forcing the Ancient Heroes to band together there to defend it. Dark Enchantress Cookie would use the opportunity to defeat them all at once and take their Soul Jams. A desperate final spell cast by Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie banished both Dark Enchantress Cookie and himself, which also caused the Soul Jams to shatter and a massive explosion to occur in the Castle. No one knows who ultimately won that night, but the resulting disappearance of the Ancient Heroes left the Cookies unable to hold back the forces of Darkness. Thus, the remaining Cookie civilizations fell into decline.

However, after some time, GingerBrave, having studied the past of the Ancients in more detail, and with his friends, headed to Crispia. Before Head Icon Dark Enchantress Cookie's forces arrived in the Vanilla Kingdom, the citizens were made aware of the impending war and fled the kingdom via an airship waiting under the Castle. The Cookies then discovered a small seaside village while traversing the continent and allied with its villagers to build a nation that would become the grand Crème Republic. The Vanilla Kingdom was thus left empty in the wake of the Dark Flour War, inhabited by nothing but defunct Wafflebots and a Head Icon single child left behind in a cryobaking pod. Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie was stripped of his memories after banishing Dark Enchantress Cookie and instead adopted the identity of Healer Cookie, residing in an abandoned village by the Raisin Cliffs and serving as their sole medic. After finding Soul Jam, GingerBrave restored Pure Vanilla Cookie's memory. +

• Pure Vanilla learned that Dark Enchantress was free and asked GingerBrave and his friends to come to the other kingdoms with news to unite against Dark Enchantress Cookie. After failing to defend those dear to her during the war, Head Icon Hollyberry Cookie abandoned both her kingdom and her shield. She felt that she was undeserving of such a great shield and believed that her descendants would be able to better care for the kingdom in the ways she failed to do. Jungleberry Cookie and Royal Berry Cookie were left as the nation's queen and king, though the throne would become forcefully occupied by Pitaya Dragon Cookie with no one to challenge their rule. Hollyberry Cookie traveled abroad as a nameless hunter following her abdication of the throne, concealing her true identity and instead spending her days tracking and defeating beasts across Earthbread. She believed that the kingdom would forget about her during her disappearance and chose to turn her back on her legacy. Rather than abandon his homeland, Head Icon Dark Cacao Cookie remained in the Dark Cacao Kingdom and dedicated all of his and the Black Citadel's efforts into strengthening the kingdom's defenses. This extreme level of focus gradually sequestered Dark Cacao Cookie further and further into Black Citadel until the kingdom's citizens were no longer allowed to see or speak with him. He believed that safety of the continent as a whole rested solely on his shoulders, consistently investing resources into bolstering the walls' defenses even when they were scarce in an attempt to be prepared for any and all possibilities. While the walls protecting the continent from the Licorice Sea remained steadfast, the state of the kingdom itself steeply declined to the point where several villages on the kingdom's outskirts were overrun by wild beasts, starvation, and theft until they disappeared entirely. The Black Citadel remained closed off despite this, with any citizens seeking assistance from the Watchers +

• Luckily GingerBrave and his friends were able to get through to the king and after a small battle were able to explain themselves to him. Dark Cacao stood up to their side. Golden Cheese Cookie's kingdom received perhaps the worst of Head Icon Dark Enchantress Cookie's wrath. While nothing has been seen of the onslaught itself, a memory from its ruler reveals that practically the entirety of the kingdom, its assets, and its inhabitants—notably Head Icon Mozzarella Cookie, Head Icon Smoked Cheese Cookie, and Head Icon Burnt Cheese Cookie—were obliterated in the war, leaving Golden Cheese Cookie alone in the dunes to mourn the ashes of something forever gone. Golden Cheese Cookie, devastated, decides she can't accept such loss. She retreats into a virtual version of her once-shining kingdom, the Golden City—a world flawless yet painfully fake. After meeting her, GingerBrave helped her let go of her kingdom and start a new life. After dealing with Smoked Cheese Cookie, who betrayed her, they decide to put the fake kingdom to sleep. Golden Cheese took GingerBrave’s side. Pure Vanilla Cookie's spell successfully sealed Head Icon Dark Enchantress Cookie inside a moonstone at the Hall of Enlightenment, though in doing so released a fragment of her former identity as Head Icon White Lily Cookie to wander Earthbread. In her absence, a loyal few of Dark Enchantress Cookie's followers continued to carry out her vision of spreading Darkness across the land while searching for a way to free their leader.

GingerBrave and Lemon Zest Cookie encounter Kohlrabi Cookie, who they find unconscious near the Citrus Altar, surrounded by strange, charred dough. After reviving Kohlrabi Cookie, the two decide to bring him along as they continue their journey. However, Kohlrabi Cookie quickly reveals his deep-seated doubts about the Guardian Cookies, questioning their ability to protect the tower. This skepticism leads to tension between Kohlrabi Cookie and Lemon Zest Cookie. As they proceed, Kohlrabi Cookie begins to express doubt about GingerBrave as well, especially after learning that GingerBrave possesses the "shining heart," a symbol of hope and power. Kohlrabi Cookie questions whether GingerBrave is truly capable of saving the tower or if he has been deceived by the very forces they are trying to combat. Just before they enter the altar, Kohlrabi Cookie's true nature is revealed. He shares sinister thoughts, casting doubt on GingerBrave's mission and ominously questioning whether they can truly save the tower from the dark powers. In a chilling moment, Kohlrabi Cookie disappears into thin air, leaving GingerBrave and Lemon Zest Cookie feeling uneasy and disgusted by his malevolent intentions. Undeterred, GingerBrave and Lemon Zest Cookie enter the Citrus Altar, where they are confronted by the final challenge—Celeus. As they approach, dark energy begins to glitch within the halo chamber above the altar, and Celeus awakens. The roof starts to crumble as Celeus reveals its true form—a massive guardian with wings and a circular mosaic window in its chest that symbolizes its heart, where the corrupted Sugar Star is located. The battle begins with Celeus in its Light form, but as the fight progresses, the center of its chest shatters, releasing a surge of dark energy that corrupts Celeus entirely. Celeus transforms into its Dark form, and the battle intensifies. When this dark Celeus is finally defeated, it crashes to the ground, and the blackened halo above it shatters +

• the center of the explosion, is on the verge of destruction due to the overwhelming dark energy. In a heroic move, GingerBrave leaps into the air and reaches out to Sugar Star. His brave touch purges the dark energy, restoring Sugar Star to its original light form, and dispelling the dark powers from the altar. After the battle, GingerBrave leaves the Citrus Altar and reunites with his worried friends. They express their concern, having witnessed the ground shake and black smoke rise from the altar during the intense battle. GingerBrave introduces them to Sugar Star, who has now been restored to its true form. Although only GingerBrave can understand what Sugar Star is saying, the group is relieved and grateful for the victory. Lemon Zest Cookie, now fully convinced of GingerBrave’s power and sincerity, apologizes for any doubts and provides crucial information about the Guardian Cookies. He suggests they seek out a renowned blacksmithing group on another floor, which may hold clues to the Guardian Cookies’ whereabouts. With renewed determination, the group sets out on their next journey, but not without a lingering sense of unease, knowing that Kohlrabi Cookie is still out there, watching them from the shadows.

All inhabitants of this universe are cookies. When they get injured, they start to "crumble". Instead of blood, they have jam. If the cookie crumbles completely, it will die. Cookies also need to be fed so they don't harden and crumble. For them, becoming crumbs is the same as death.
