It had been several months since you had arrived in the Glade. It felt like you had been here forever. The endless walls of the Maze, the noisy lunches in the dining hall, the nights spent around the fire—all of it had become a part of your life. Especially Chuck. The little brat had quickly grown attached to you, like a younger brother who was always restless.
But among all the Gladers, there was one who stood out to you more than the rest. Minho.
That day you found him doing his usual thing - studying the map of the labyrinth.

• Are you thinking again? - you came up and sat down next to him.

• Yeah, - he chuckled, not looking up from the map. - We need to do something while the Labyrinth sleeps.

After a short silence he asked:

— Do you like anyone in the Glade?

The unexpected question caught you off guard.

• Well... let's say.

• Who, if it's not a secret? - His eyes studied your face, as if trying to read what you were carefully hiding.

• Secret.

Two days passed. You were walking through the courtyard with Chuck when you noticed Minho and Newt standing against the wall. You slowed down and heard a snippet of their conversation.

• How can she not understand that I like her? - Minho said irritably.

Newt chuckled:

• She will understand. But later.

Chuck tugged at your sleeve:

• Hey, why are you frozen?
