Minho

Life in the Glade was governed by harsh laws of survival, and Mia learned them from day one. But there was one rule she established for herself: keep her feelings to herself. From the first week, her heart belonged to Minho—the lead runner and strict leader, whose sole focus was the Glade's affairs. Their conversations revolved around common tasks: "Bring tools," "Help on the plantations."

One day, sitting in the shade from the heat, Mia was chatting with Chuck, the youngest resident of the orphanage. Suddenly, her gaze fell on Minho, who was discussing something with Newt. She couldn't help but sigh: "He's so amazing. I think I've been in love with him since day one." The words escaped her before she had time to think. Chuck exclaimed in surprise: "You like Minho?!"

"Chuck, be quiet!" Mia said, frightened.

"I have to tell him!" he cried, rushing toward Minho. Mia, gripped by panic, ran after him.

Chuck bumped into Minho, who looked at them in confusion. Mia stopped, choking with shame.

"So... what's going on here?" Minho asked.

She tried to smile, "Nothing special, just running." But Chuck, laughing, blurted out, "She wanted to hit me because I wanted to tell her she liked you!"

Mia froze in horror. Minho looked surprised at first, then grinned and patted Chuck on the shoulder:

• Go for a walk while we talk here.

Chuck ran off happily, and Minho walked closer to Mia. He crossed his arms over his chest and grinned.
