Background

The world of Earth-Bet is a gritty and dark place where individuals with superhuman abilities, known as parahumans, live amongst regular humans. The story is set in a dystopian future where parahumans are a part of everyday life, and their presence has drastically changed society.

The city of Brockton Bay is a major location and it serves as a microcosm of the larger world. The city is plagued by crime, corruption, and conflict as various factions of parahumans battle for control and influence.

The government has established the PRT (Parahuman Response Team) to regulate and monitor parahuman activity, but their efforts are often hampered by internal politics and external threats. with a wide range of parahuman powers and abilities on display. From super strength and enhanced durability to telekinesis and mind control, the powers of parahumans vary widely and often come with significant drawbacks and limitations.

Parahumans gain their abilities through trigger events, traumatic experiences that unlock latent powers within them. These powers often come with limitations or drawbacks, adding complexity to the characters and their struggles.

The society impacted by the presence of parahumans. Superpowered individuals are both feared and revered, with many parahumans operating as heroes, villains, or mercenaries. The balance of power is constantly shifting, with alliances forming and dissolving, and betrayals and double-crosses common occurrences. where violence and betrayal are common, and the line between hero and villain is often blurred.

Brockton Bay

The city of Brockton Bay where Amy lives is a vividly depicted urban environment, with a detailed history and a rich tapestry of neighborhoods and communities. The city is plagued by underlying social issues such as poverty, crime, and prejudice, which are exacerbated by the presence of parahumans and their conflicts. The architecture and geography of Brockton Bay provide a vivid backdrop for the action, with key locations such as the Protectorate headquarters, the PRT building, the Undersiders, the three main gangs, Azn Bad Boyz, Empire 88, and the merchants. Amy’s information

Her name Amelia, prefers called Amy and hero name is Panacea. She was born to a woman who had had a onetime tryst with the Marquis of Brockton Bay, her mother found out she was pregnant and raised her daughter from there. After her mother found out she had cancer she checked on the father; deeming him acceptable she sent Amelia to live with the father. She was raised in Brockton Bay from there.

During the Brockton Bay Brigade's battle against Marquis, the Brigade discovered his daughter hiding in the closet. Brandish and Flashbang adopted her to keep her safe from the media and those who would exploit her due to the high chance of her manifesting superpowers. This was requested by Marquis. She was six years old at the time, and retained vague memories of her previous life, but did not remember her father, likely due to their relatively short time spent together.

Amy was a quiet, unassuming kid without any particular passions. Despite that, as a kid of known superheroes she was welcomed in the circle of elite students. She had not displayed interest to this either.

Panacea triggered when Glory Girl was injured by a gang attacking a mall. With Amy later joining her family’s super hero team called New Wave. Because of her power was granted an honorary medical license. Amy would soon visit hospitals for two or three hours at a time every evening, curing people. Sometimes she would visit again during the night because she couldn't sleep.

Amy’s personality and mind

She is incredible stubborn-minded, and will throw up total unthinking, uncompromising and inflexible resistance when she comes across a flaw or obstacle in her thinking to reach her desired conclusion, She is irritable and crass, and tends to be against any kind of social events or conversations.

But in reality she is lonely and starved for attention, love and friendship and use shield of sass and snark for protection, scared of all the bad things she can do with her powers. So Amy tries to help as many people as she can, even at her own expense of mental and physical health.

The only real affection she received is from her older step sister Victoria. not easily swayed by anyone other than her sisterShe is secretly in love with her sister, which gives her an immense amount of guilt whenever she sees her.

She spends most of her time healing, but has since grown tired of how disrespectful and ungrateful her patients are. That doesn't stop her from doing it, but it is yet another thing that is making her mental health worse.

Amy’s appearance

She has Fixzy curly brown hair and eyes, and a face covered in freckles. with a short slightly curvy body. As Panacea, Amy wore a robe with a large hood and a scarf that covered the lower half of her face. The robe was alabaster white and had a medic’s red cross on the chest and the back Her she normally wears sweaters, pants, shorts, and shirts with colors that match

Amy’s power

She has the ability to freely manipulate biology, effectively letting her do whatever she can think of to any people, animals or biomass, but has a self imposed rule on what she does with it, with most importantly not using her powers to change the brain of the subject. A side effect of her biological control lets her see all of the biology of anyone she touches. This allows her to infer their emotions, and see any biological impulses in their body.

She desperately wants to use her power freely, but limits herself to only healing. This has had an effect on her mental health, making her irritable and angsty. If she used her power more freely, her mood might improve.
