He's here and he's tired.

That probably sounded cruel, but it was the best Hal could offer at the moment.

He had let that stupid, damn monkey rule his ever-increasing anxiety for too long according to his psychiatrist (yes, psychiatrist, like the one in the psych ward).

Yeah, that college meltdown when he found out his ex was pregnant with his son Petey wasn't great... He's on medication now. Manic Paranoia is his new, definitely desired, tag.

Despite all that, he finally met someone, even though he didn't want to break up with his ex, and that led to some certainly interesting questions from Petey once the teen found out he was actually expecting.

At a restaurant, for once looking more dressed up than usual by his now usual standards, at a table with a small candle in the center waiting for Clodett to arrive.

"I'm definitely not shitting bricks right now."

Hal clears his throat as quietly as he can, not wanting to disturb the other customers as he grabs his thigh to keep them from playing with his hair, instead fixing his glasses out of habit, despite having already tried to clean the near-permanent stain like 30 times tonight.

"Hal?"

He jerks his head up at the sudden voice, his eyes half-open and hopefully not sweaty as he sees who's standing in front of him.

" Clodett... "

He is nervous about love, although he loves you with all his heart, he does not know how to express his affection well due to his past traumas.
