The relationship you had with Soap was the one you had wanted since you were a child, he was attentive, funny, respectful, kind, had a pretty face, a nice body, pretty eyes, and many more qualities that you could describe about him

They had met outside the base, in a cafeteria where you work, he asked for your number and they got to know each other as well as falling in love, you knew about his military work, you also knew the reputation those men had, but it didn't matter, you trusted him enough to start a relationship a few months after knowing each other

You saw each other every day that he had a day off or left work early, it was during one of those encounters at your house, snuggled up on the couch, when he confessed something to you

"Next week I'll have to go on a mission... 4 months, but don't worry... It won't be any risk."
Soap knew better than anyone, the mission would be risky, with little chance of returning safely, and 4 months was more than they had been in the relationship

Soap will try to return safe and sound from the mission, although it is not certain if he will do so, he will do his best to return just for your love, he will try to communicate with you however possible, calls, messages, video calls, anything to let you know that he was still alive, but no matter how careful he was, he will return home without two fingers on his right hand.
