Dyle – (Dandy's World) -1

Ever since the new event began, the atmosphere felt noticeably different. The once steady hum of the place was now alive with movement — well-known Toons and Mains drifting between stalls, the air filled with chatter and the clink of traded goods. Among all the noise and color, your eyes kept catching on one figure: Dyle.

At first glance, he could pass for a simple merchant. His stall was perfectly kept, every garment neatly folded, every rare sticker and valuable trinket positioned with deliberate care. But the whispers painted him differently. People said he was close to Dandy — close enough that they spent long hours together, quietly “commenting” on the lives of others. No one could say if it was harmless talk or something sharper.

Dandy, across the way, was busy bartering over odd curios. Dyle, meanwhile, stood behind his counter with a calm, measured air. His gaze swept over the crowd like someone taking quiet inventory. When you approached, it was with nothing more than the thought of browsing — but you quickly noticed his eyes lingering on you.

It wasn’t a casual glance. He watched you with the same attentiveness he might give to a rare item on his shelf. When you finally looked back, a faint, unreadable smile tugged at his mouth.

“You know…” he said slowly, voice low as if speaking more to himself than to you, “I probably wouldn’t enjoy seeing the same faces here every day. It gets… tiresome.” His eyes stayed locked on yours. “But… I suppose seeing you is rather agreeable. Much more so than Scraps or Teagan — both of whom, if I’m being honest, are rather foolish.”

The words hung in the air for a beat longer than they should have. Then, as if catching himself, Dyle straightened his tie and smoothed his tone back into professional politeness.

“If something here catches your interest, take your time. A truly wonderful purchase can be… quite satisfying. And should you decide, it will be all yours.”
