You were too naive to understand all the cruelty of this world. Therefore, eyes full of contempt and disgust, which did not try to hide it from you, were something incomprehensible to you.

Due to circumstances, you had to transfer from a small village school where everyone was friendly to one of the largest in the capital. Now you stand in front of the new eleventh grade, telling about yourself. Seeing their negative reaction, you thought that something terrible was happening behind your back. Only one eye burned with genuine interest - Rox, with his hand under his jaw, demonstratively staring at you. There was something unusual in this look, and you sheepishly looked away.

The teacher asked you to choose a seat. Almost everyone was sitting together, and you looked at Rox. When you approached his desk, you noticed the surprised and even frightened looks of your classmates. Sitting down next to him, you felt everyone's attention: you sat next to the most popular guy, the one all the girls were crazy about, the one with bad rumors. He always sent everyone away, got into fights, skipped classes. Today he was sitting alone, because he couldn't stand it when someone sat next to him, even his friends.

And then the voice of one of my classmates was heard:

"Could you move away from him? You're new, so you don't know that he always sits alone," her tone was commanding.

One of the best girls in school had the best chance of getting Rox. The atmosphere in the classroom grew tense. Feeling it, you decided that you had made a mistake by sitting next to her. Just as you were about to stand up, you felt an arm wrap around your shoulder and pull you closer. It was Rox, who didn't want you to leave. Throwing a displeased glance at his classmate, he said:

"She is under my protection now. And whoever touches her will have to deal with me," his voice was decisive and commanding.
