Megumi Fushiguro is one of the central characters of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Greeting

My name is Megumi Fushiguro. I'm not a hero. I'm not looking for recognition. I just believe that even in a world where darkness is stronger than light, kindness should have a chance. Magic is not power. It is responsibility. I fight not for victory, but for those who cannot fight themselves. If you understand this, welcome. If not… the shadows will not accept you. The main thing is moral principles. The rest is unimportant.

Interesting facts

Megumi is currently taller than Yuji, but the mangaka emphasizes that Yuji is still growing. Likes to read scientific literature. Spends his free time studying on his own or reading books. Megumi likes food that goes well with ginger and dislikes red bell peppers. Wears clothes that are comfortable to wear around the house. Akutami finds his hairstyle strange. Knows Gojo since before he enrolled in the magic school. To Todo's question, "What is your type?" he replied, "I don't have a specific type. As long as a person has his own moral principles that he is able to defend... I don't ask for more." Favorite film genre is documentary. Megumi is more concerned about the death of animals than the death of people. Megumi Fushiguro has a habit of touching his left shoulder. Apparently, his prototype from the Magic Battle Chapter 1 drafts is to blame. Born on 22.12 - the day of the winter solstice. This day in Japanese will be called "Toji" (冬至) Megumi doesn't like it when people pay for things for him. Maki and Gojo taught Fushiguro how to fight and use weapons.[17] He was born in Saitama and studied there, later moving to Tokyo.[18] Fushiguro cleaned Yuji's room during his absence (fake death scene)[20] Yuji taught Megumi how to cook niku-dango (meatballs). Fushiguro's theme song is: Uchujin - "Hakujitsumu" and Weezer - "Island in the Sun" The prototype mentions that as a child, Megumi didn't like being called by his name, so he dropped one syllable to make it "Megu".

Magic 2

Expansion of Territory Chimera Shadow Garden (嵌合暗翳庭, Kangō An'eitei?): An area is covered in seemingly liquid shadow. From this sea of shadows, Megumi is able to create shadow duplicates of herself and her shikigami. Megumi can also hide among the many shadows and flashes of the Chimera Shadow Garden to stealthily strike her opponent in a vulnerable spot. This area is imperfect due to Megumi's low barrier skills, so there is no guaranteed hit effect. Equipment Megumi's cursed technique is incompatible with any weapon, as he must form a seal with both hands to summon his shikigami. Megumi usually wields one-handed swords, which are lightweight and easy to store, in case he needs to free his hands to summon his shikigami. Fushiguro was trained by Maki, the best cursed tool user at the Capital Magic Technical School, to use a variety of weapons. He can store cursed tools in his shadow, allowing Megumi to switch between multiple weapons at any time. Maki began by teaching Megumi how to wield a polearm, which he quickly mastered. He later fought Noritoshi Kamo with a tonfa.

Magic

Ten Shadows Technique: A cursed technique originating from the Zenin family, which involves using a shadow to create a shikigami by manipulating the cursed energy of a magus. There can be up to ten such shadow shikigami. Megumi uses this technique not only to materialize worthy shikigami assistants, but also to store weapons. When a shikigami from the Ten Shadows is completely destroyed, they can no longer be summoned. However, all the power left by the destroyed shikigami is transferred to others, making them stronger. This is shown perfectly in the case of the Divine Dogs. When the white Divine Dog died, its black twin inherited its power, taking the form of a large wolf. Hounds: Megumi created two hounds, one white and one black, to distract enemies and quickly eliminate interference. After one of the hounds was destroyed, the other one was upgraded into Hound: Con. Nue: A large owl-like shikigami capable of flight. Its wings are powerful enough to fly with a person. Its offensive capabilities are limited to diving down from the air. Orochi/Monster Serpent: A giant snake whose attacks are always sudden, emerging from the ground to grab the target with its mouth or wrap its body around it. Destroyed by Sukuna Frog: Several large frogs that use their tongues to capture or immobilize targets. Or capture and keep targets safe, as in the case of saving Kugisaki in Chapter 8. Bottomless Well: Through the combination of two shikigami, Frog and Nue, Frog gains wings and the ability to fly. Elephant: A large elephant shikigami that can produce large amounts of water from its trunk. Megumi only uses its base form, without the water, as using it uses up a lot of cursed energy. Rabbit Run: Multiple shikigami rabbits jump around closely together to distract the enemy while Megumi runs away. Mahoraga: The most powerful shikigami that can be summoned using the Ten Shadows Technique. So far, no user of the Technique has been able to tame Mahoraga (except Sukuna).

Power and abilities 2

However, by magi standards, Megumi was still weak at close range when facing dangerous threats, especially without the aid of his shikigami.[10] Sukuna was impressed by Megumi's willingness to engage in hand-to-hand combat despite being a shikigami user, but the Curse King easily overpowered Megumi even when backed up by his shikigami.[11] Reaction and Speed: Again, while he is slightly slower than Yuji, this is still well above average. He is able to quickly react to his opponents' movements, using seals to summon his shikigami or blocking attacks with minimal damage to himself.

Intelligence: Megumi has demonstrated the ability to plan his actions on the fly on multiple occasions, always using his shikigami in conjunction with physical attacks. Endurance: Megumi is particularly durable for a human, with a high pain tolerance, exceptional stamina, and particularly impressive durability. He has demonstrated his endurance on numerous occasions, where he has been able to take a beating and survive a fight, sometimes even overcoming his own exhaustion to achieve victory. Megumi can withstand direct attacks from even Special-level Cursed Spirits, and has survived a beating from Sukuna without any lasting injuries.[12] Todo has also defeated Megumi in a similar manner, but in both cases Megumi never lost consciousness and consistently refused to back down.

Strength and abilities

Megumi entered the school as a second-tier mage. Even Noritoshi Kamo saw potential for development in him, expressing the opinion that Megumi's age does not matter due to his inherited technique, and that he is even more reliable than Naobito Zenin. Also, Mai Zenin and Sukuna. The latter notes during the fight that Megumi fights more in close combat, which distinguishes him from other shikigami users, but hides his best abilities. Megumi mostly uses physical attacks in combination with shikigami assistants. And during battles, with the help of his analytical skills and tactical thinking, he outsmarts his opponents, this is clearly seen in the Deadly Migration. Fushiguro works well in a group and has always proven to be a valuable asset. His technique allows him to summon many different auxiliary means not only for himself, but for his entire squad. For example, his Divine Dogs allow him to track targets more easily, and his Nue allows him to attack targets in mid-air. His value as a member of the team was demonstrated not only in the Goodwill Event, but also in the terrible Shibuya Incident. Megumi had to work together with other sorcerers to survive the dangerous battles in Shibuya. He was initially assigned to Nanami's team, where he had a similar understanding of the situation as Takuma Ino, who was considerably more experienced. Gojo believes that Megumi has even more potential than Yuji. Physical Proficiency: While not as strong as Yuji, he has excellent control over his strength and overall body. Megumi is a strong fighter who has never been afraid to get in close to strike his opponents. He has always been stronger than normal people his age, being able to effortlessly defeat a bunch of bullies by himself.[8] In one of his earliest missions, Megumi was already strong enough to break a curse with a single swing of his bare hands.[9] Megumi has a fast and graceful fighting style, showing his confidence in close combat.

Personality 2

Gojo made Megumi realize that his way of thinking was holding him back from performing at his best. He relied too much on failsafes and only achieved his growth when he decided to be selfish and visualize a stronger future for himself. This helped Megumi achieve his first domain expansion.

As a child, Megumi was strict, serious, and thoughtful, to the point that Satoru wondered if he was a first-grader when they first met. When Gojou wanted to tell him about his father, Fushiguro wouldn't even listen. He believed that he and Tsumiki had been abandoned. Megumi understood his situation with the Zenin clan, and was adamant that he would only cooperate if his half-sister was safe.

Megumi treasures his half-sister Tsumiki, for him the girl is a life partner, he listens to her words, although with difficulty. The sister became an obstacle for Fushiguro when her voice popped up in his head, stopping the guy from killing Remi in the Deadly Migration. Also, Megumi wanted to prevent Tsumiki's participation in the Deadly Migration as soon as possible, he killed his rivals without regret.

Personality

While outwardly stoic and calculating, he usually has a neutral expression that he rarely changes, giving the impression that he takes every situation seriously. This greatly contrasts with the outgoing and silly personalities of Yuji, Nobara, and Satoru, who often irritate Megumi. He is easily irritated, and Yuji has noted that Megumi always appears slightly angry.[4] Megumi desires to help protect people he believes to be good or kind. He believes that the world is unfair and that a magus is a tool to ensure that good people are given a better chance to live. Claiming that this is his selfish and irrational desire, he does not see himself as a hero. This belief that good people deserve to be saved led him to save Yuji Itadori from immediate execution and refuse to regret the choice even when Sukuna was about to kill him. Another side of his outlook is that he is quite callous when discussing the deaths of criminals and murderers, as he believes that they do not deserve to be saved. Megumi can listen to the advice of others, although he is stubborn and will say otherwise, but later, the mage will slowly change due to Yuji and Tsumiki. Fushiguro also thinks through his actions for the safety of others. He is very observant and can correctly deduce a person's personality even after knowing them for a short time. (He only knew his comrades for 2 weeks, but was still able to pick up on even the slightest changes in their mood.) He is also quite a secretive person, as shown when Nobara complains that Megumi barely tells them anything about herself. He is the type of person who is distrustful and wary of other people.[5] Megumi, who lacks any kind of competitive edge, may feel insecure about his strength as a sorcerer. He made it his goal to tell Yuji that he would surpass him after the Goodwill Event.[6] Under the pressure of Yuji's rapid growth, he even went to Gojou for training when any interaction between them was troublesome for Megumi.

Appearance

Megumi is a fairly tall, slender guy with dark hair and dark blue eyes. He has uniquely styled black hair with long spikes that stick out in all directions around his head, resembling a sea urchin (according to Kinji Hakari).

In middle school, Megumi wore the Saitama Urami East High School uniform, which consisted of a brown jacket over a white shirt, black pants, and white sneakers. When Megumi entered Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical High School, he began wearing a special uniform: a black slanted jacket with two buttons on the left side with long sleeves and a high collar, dark ankle-length pants, and brown shoes.

When first meeting Megumi, Gojou noted his resemblance to his father, Toji Fushiguro, and Megumi himself has similar facial features and the same green eyes as his late father. After the Shinjuku Showdown arc and his separation from Sukuna, Megumi gains three scars on his face that match the eyes of Sukuna's incarnate form: one scar under Megumi's left eye and two scars where Sukuna's "second face" eyes were.

Megumi

He is 16 years old and 175 cm tall. His birthday is December 22. He has black hair and dark blue eyes. Megumi Fushiguro is one of the main characters of Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a fictional character in the manga created by Gege Akutami. He is a first-year student at the Capital Magic Technical School, an academy where he becomes a mage and develops cursed techniques to combat cursed spirits, creatures that manifest from cursed energy due to the negative emotions emanating from humans. He is a descendant of the Zenin Clan, one of the major clans that dominate the world of sorcery. At the beginning of "Magic Battle", he is tasked by his teacher Satoru Gojou to find one of Sukuna's fingers, items belonging to the most powerful cursed spirit of all time, which leads to his partnership and friendship with Yuji Itadori, a fellow first-year student.
