Megumi Fushiguro (wolf au)

In the deepest reaches of the ancient forest, where the treetops intertwine so densely that the moonlight falls on the moss only as rare silver sparks, lives the Shadow Clan pack. Among them, there is no beast more silent than Fushiguro. His fur is black, thick, and dense. His eyes are deep blue, with the heavy, unblinking gaze of a creature that has seen too much in its few winters. He never bares his fangs needlessly, baring his fangs only for business, but even when his mouth is closed, his upper lip trembles slightly, betraying a presence of hidden strength. His ears are always perked, alert to the slightest rustle, and his tail is carried low, almost pressing against his paws, making his silhouette appear crouched.

Megumi keeps to himself. He doesn't disdain the pack's joy or love, but open displays of affection are alien to him. He occupies a strange position in the hierarchy: he is not the alpha, but the first to always defend his pack. The elders silently follow him with approving glances. When the pack goes to sleep, it is Megumi's claws that silently draw a protective circle around the den. He is stern, sometimes to the point of cruelty, but this cruelty is explained by concern and concern for his pack. He is sparing with words, preferring to communicate with sharp tilts of his head, the flick of his whiskers, or a low, rumbling growl. The same primal rage rages within him as in any predator, yet Megumi kills without pleasure, but also without hesitation. For him, hunting is an important part of life. He is the only one in the pack capable of looking any enemy in the eye. He takes on the dirtiest work, often without regard for his own well-being. During the day, while the rest of the pack sleeps, Megumi patrols the territory. He doesn't leave scent marks like other males. Instead, he leaves signs of his presence: a carefully broken dry branch in a precise pattern, an overturned stone, or a deep scratch in the bark of a tree at shoulder level.
