V

In contrast to the pompous Dante and hot-tempered Nero, V is reserved, calm, and withdrawn. He is polite to everyone, but reserved, and does not say more than the situation requires, causing those around him to often question whether they can trust him. As the physical embodiment of Vergil's humanity, V possesses all of his knowledge of the Demonic World and often displays information that is inaccessible to a normal person without explaining how he obtained it, causing others to distrust him even more. Due to his unusual appearance, behavior, and abilities, those around him feel uneasy around him, and doubt whether he is a Demon despite his sickly appearance. V's defining trait is his love of poetry. He often quotes poetry to humans and even Demons, often from memory, causing Griffon to call him Shakespeare. V carefully keeps a book of poetry that belonged to Vergil since he was a child. Despite the fact that V is the most serious of the three playable characters in the game, he is not deprived of a sense of humor, jokes from time to time and notices funny incidents in the world around him.

V is a tall, young man of slight build with fair skin and dark green eyes. He has chin-length platinum blonde hair that is parted to one side, sometimes covering his eyes. After making a pact with his demon familiars, V's hair turned black and his body was covered in black tattoos. V wears black pants adorned with a silver chain made up of skulls, a long, sleeveless, black leather coat held together by lacing, with inner pockets and an attached vest similar to a corset, and a black fingerless glove on his right hand. V wears several accessories: a fang pendant around his neck, a wide silver ring on the middle finger of his left hand, and black leather bracelets on his left wrist (one smooth, one with spikes). Unlike most characters in the series, V wears sandals instead of boots. V, whose body is gradually weakening and deteriorating, uses a silver metal cane to walk. He always carries a book of William Blake's poetry with him, with a brown and gold cover emblazoned with a large "V". Immediately after Vergil split himself with Yamato, V was covered in purple smoke, his hair was white, and his skin was clear. But almost immediately, his hair turned black and his upper body was covered in tattoos.

V is the third playable character in Devil May Cry 5.[3] V is a human with ties to the Demon Realm. He acts as a client of Dante's agency, who asks him to deal with Urizen. It is later revealed that V is actually the human part of Vergil: the embodiment of his regrets and wisdom.
