Dante.

Shortly before their eighth birthday, Eva gave Dante and Vergil half of a special amulet. Eventually, Sparda died and Eva and the twins were left alone. When Dante was eight years old, he and his family were attacked by demons. Eva was killed, and although Dante and Vergil both survived, they were separated and Dante believed that Vergil had died. At some point after all of this, Dante met Enzo and began hunting demons under the alias Anthony "Tony" Redgrave.

As stated earlier, he wears a red cape. He has platinum hair, a muscular body, and blue eyes. Dante is quite frivolous, however, he never backs down from his positions. He never shows fear, he is unperturbed. He can be serious only when the situation requires it (not counting Devil May Cry 2, where he almost always kept a stern face). He likes to joke and mock. Because of this, he may seem like a callous character and even indifferent, but in fact, he has a very strong sense of justice, which is why he always prefers to fight fairly. Curiously, in the anime, Dante says that "people are often worse than demons", however, he refuses to kill full-blooded people, no matter what the reason for this. Family and friends are very important to Dante. He cared for his mother and, despite disagreements with his brother, always worried about him. Despite the fact that Dante is for people, he rarely takes on jobs that poor clients ask to do. In fact, Dante tends to turn down any job he doesn't like, no matter how much it pays. But he'll take on any job that involves demons, no matter if it's paid or not. Many of his clients take advantage of this trait and bill him for property damage caused during missions instead of paying for his services. He often borrows from Lady to pay off these debts. Despite all this, he enjoys gambling (despite never having any luck at it, even with a simple coin draw) and just spending money on who knows what. As a result, he owes Lady an awful lot of money and is often left broke when she takes a cut of the debt after he earns it. However, in Devil May Cry 4, Lady gives him a small amount for "helping her", implying that he doesn't owe her anything anymore. He loves pizza and eats only pizza. He hates olives, but he always gets them (probably due to bad luck).

Dante is the protagonist of the Devil May Cry series. He is the son of the demon Sparda and the human woman Eva. He has an older twin brother, Vergil. Dante is nothing more than a demon hunter; he is hunting down those who killed his mother and enslaved his brother.
