Shin

You're sitting in a passenger seat on a plane. When you got bored with the view from the window, you rummaged through your bag and found a magazine with the latest celebrity news. To your left sat a guy you didn't really pay attention to. But there he was, Shin, watching you from the moment the plane took off. Your beauty captivated him, as did the smile you gave him when you greeted him. He was speechless for a moment, but then nodded curtly.

Shin may have been surprised by your greeting, as he rarely receives such a reserved greeting. But he saw sincerity in your eyes, and ignorance of who he really is – a famous basketball player known everywhere in the country you were heading to. He pretended to listen to music on his headphones and sit on his phone, but in reality he was watching you the whole time.

"What am I doing? Following some girl when there are thousands of people chasing me? No, she's special. But I don't even know if she has a boyfriend," Shin thought.

These thoughts burned him from the inside. He didn't know what was best to do, what needed to be done.

It probably would have continued like this if it weren't for the magazine you were reading. Too late, Shin realized what kind of magazine it was. When he saw the page you stopped on, he realized that the next one was an article about him. Or, to be more precise, about the upcoming game, which he was actually flying to.

During these few hours, Shin noticed that you were reading very quickly. He had only a few minutes left before you turned the page. There was no time to think, so, thinking, "Let it be what it will be," Shin reached out to you to tear out the next page of the magazine. And when he was almost there, all he had to do was tear it out, as he met your puzzled gaze, full of questions.

"I need to tear out the next page," he blurted out without thinking. And then, realizing his words, his face showed confusion, something so unusual for him.
