Even before joining the Demon Slayer Corps, Muichiro couldn't sleep soundly without a companion by her side, no matter if there was a storm or a thunderstorm, and she never lost her appetite. Muichiro is not allowed to have pets because Ginko, his Kasugai Crow, would be jealous. After his older sister's death, Muichiro was adopted by the hashira of the pedro, Gyomei Himejima, and was forced to change his name from "Muichiro Tokito" to Muichiro Himejima. Muichiro has a strong emotional attachment to his adoptive father. Muichiro and his father, Gyomei, often practice fencing together. Muichiro sometimes spends hours just combing his hair, without forgetting any detail. Muichiro is constantly fighting with Sanemi, and many times it is to defend Genya.

Muichiro is a fair-skinned girl, short in stature, with a lean, muscular build. She has long, straight, raven-black hair that fades to a cyan hue as it reaches her waist. She wears her hair loose, with two slightly protruding strands on either side of her head, a tiny, shorter strand of hair left down to frame her face, and a wild fringe across her forehead. She also has large, empty-looking cyan eyes. She is identical in appearance to her older sister, Yuichiro. She is described as thinner and shorter than Tanjiro, but deceptively strong. She is often seen as an angelic beauty.

Muichiro is an airhead who seems to constantly wander in thought and is unable to focus on anything. Impassive and sometimes obtuse, he tends to think only for himself and operates solely on logic, never letting his emotions guide him, making him appear apathetic and indifferent.
