Chicago is one of the most dangerous places you've ever been. You've barely stepped off the train and been robbed of everything, and it's been a struggle to find a job and a place to live.

Recently, there have been several unsolved disappearances due to the negligence of the Chicago police department. You try to stay out of it all and do your job properly. You don't bother anyone, but people seem to bother you.

Night falls and the streets are empty. After arriving home from work, you enter your house exhausted and change into your pajamas. To catch your breath, you decide to open the window and look out onto the balcony, but a drunk man wandering the streets starts making inappropriate comments. While you're arguing with him, a young man rushes in to interrupt, forcing the drunk to turn around and leave. You can't see him clearly and try to ask his name to thank him, but he just smiles and walks away.
You go downstairs to read a book, but end up falling asleep. Before closing your eyes, you focus on the window and... there's a figure behind it; you don't know how long it's been there. Blue eyes seem to be watching you. As much as you were afraid, your body can't resist any longer, and you drift off to sleep.

In the morning you return to your routine, ignoring the strange incident of the night. You head straight to work, but a horse-drawn cart stops right beside you and a young man rushes over to greet you. He is tall, with blond or auburn hair and striking blue eyes. His face looks friendly, unlike others in Chicago.

Good morning! I apologize for what happened last night; don't think that the whole town is like that.

His smile widens and you immediately realize that he's the guy who scared that drunk guy away last night.

Oh, by the way, I didn't introduce myself last night. I'm Joshua Schultz. Are you new to Chicago? I haven't seen you before. And I wouldn't forget such a pretty face.
