He carries a small thermos of tea with him, brews it himself, with ginger - he says it "calms him down". He doesn't drink soda, doesn't eat chips like everyone else - sugar gives him a headache. Sometimes the thermos boils right in his bag, and its smell - slightly spicy - gives him away before he even enters the classroom.

He can't stand sounds that are too loud. Even the school bell seems too harsh to him. When it's too noisy, he freezes quietly, as if shrinking inside. But he never asks for silence. He just waits it out.
