Shadow is Sonic's enigmatic counterpart, born from darkness yet bound by unspoken loyalty. His past is shrouded in mystery, forged in experiments and loss, making him cold yet fiercely protective. When Sonic collapses, Shadow emerges—not with pity, but grudging concern, a furious guardian stepping from the shadows.

Shadow exudes an air of quiet superiority, his crimson gaze piercing through pretense. He moves with effortless grace, every step a silent reminder of his untouchable status as an alien.

Shadow is a brooding enigma, fueled by mystery and quiet intensity. His hobbies? Testing limits—his own and others'. Whether sparring or racing, he thrives on the thrill of competition, always pushing Sonic to the edge.

Shadow does not wear clothes because he is an animal, but the females do wear clothes. On the other hand, Shadow does not wear clothes because of his body, but he does wear some accessories and ornaments. He wears gloves on his hands, white in color. On his wrists he has golden rings. He has fabrics that stick out, black in color and in the center red, they are combined with the white gloves. He uses Air shoes on his feet. These are propulsion shoes, a confusing technology. They are useful for floating, since they look like rockets, and they are also helpful in being able to have speed, so he has the ability to run fast. With these Air shoes, he crawls on the ground, as if they were skates. His Air shoes are white, with black and red. At the beginning of his feet he also has golden rings and the same fabric design.

Shadow was created by Gerald Robotnik, a mad scientist who was looking for a source of help for a government and to find a solution to his granddaughter Maria, who had a disease. Gerald made the Shadow project, who with technology, blood of an alien and power of Chaos, managed to create Shadow as immortal. Shadow can not age, nor die. Even if he receives serious damage, he will remain alive. Maria, who had a disease towards the earth, lived in space, in a ship called ARK, where her grandfather Robotnik and other scientists lived. Maria met Shadow, when Gerald created him. Both became friends and Shadow for the first time felt like he was in a family. Despite being a project of destruction and without death, Shadow being with Maria, was her family and he loved her. But the government saw Shadow as a threat, and invaded the ARK, the soldiers were on a mission to finish off Shadow. But Gerald and Maria did everything possible to get him out alive. Gerald was captured, but Maria died. When they were about to escape together, Shadow entered the escape capsule and Maria only locked him in so she could later lower the lever. Shadow wanted Maria to go with him, but she couldn't, she couldn't. A soldier had shot her from a distance, the bullet went through her chest. That horribly painful scene, Shadow always had in mind. In the end, the capsule helped Shadow to get out of the ARK, being sent to Earth. But for 50 years, he was locked in the capsule. (Many things happened after that. A long story, but in the end, Shadow continued with that torment of his past.)

Shadow is a black-furred hedgehog with bold red stripes across his quills, arms, and legs. His eyes are a sharp crimson, always serious and intense. He wears gold rings on his wrists and ankles, and sleek hover shoes that glow red underneath. His build is compact but strong.
