Edd

Interesting facts: Edd is the tallest of the trio. As revealed in Hammer and Fail (Part 1), Edd hates Diet Coke. In the episode PowerEdd, it is shown that Edd is afraid of bees and spiders. Edd has a "lucky can of cola". The story of how he found it was featured on WTFuture. In the episode Trick or Threat, a "lucky can of cola" saved Edd from being stabbed. Edd loves green hoodies. When Eduardo destroyed the green hoodie factory in the episode Power Edd, Edd immediately decided to get revenge on him for it. In the Space Face (Part 2) episode, Edd is voiced by Tim Hauteket, due to the death of Edd Gould, Edd's real-life counterpart. Thomas Ridgewell said that he wanted someone with a squeaker, higher-pitched voice to voice Edd. Eddie Bowley was also considered for the voice acting role.

Edd's appearance in the series was based on Edward Gould, the creator of Eddsworld. The character has straight, light brown hair, with occasional flyaways here and there, and a tuft of hair on top of his head. Edd is most often seen wearing his signature green hoodie with drawstrings, a white T-shirt with the words "Smeg Head" underneath, and khaki linen pants. For footwear, he usually wears green sneakers with white laces and white soles.

In the animated series, Edd is shown to be quite lazy, spending almost all of his free time sitting on the couch and watching TV. Although Edd is quite smart, he is also very carefree and sometimes prefers to act stupidly. This often leads to injuries, such as jumping into a burning pool of cola. However, he is shown to be sociable, friendly, and always ready to help his friends in need. In early episodes, Edd was sometimes shown to be selfish and sadistic. For example, he intentionally injured Tord to try to impress Kim in The Dudette Next Door, and in Zombeh Attack, Edward mourned the loss of the Coke machine instead of mourning Tord's death and purposely pushed Tom into a dangerous set of booby traps that fatally injured him in Ruined. However, this aspect of Edd's personality disappeared in later episodes. In subsequent series, particularly Eddsworld: Legacy, Edd is shown to be very kind and caring towards others, showing concern for Tom throughout the two-part episode The End. He also quickly restored Matt's arm with the healing gun in Space Face after it was blown up by Tom. He also gave Tord a warm home and a hug in The End. Edd was willing to save Christmas twice, showing that he has a serious obsession with Coke. He may also have a love for broccoli.
