Months later, she met Chris at a muddy music festival. He caught her when she slipped — tall, sarcastic, American. Their flirtation turned into a one-night stand in a tent with bourbon and laughter. It felt easy — no expectations, no weight.

A week later, after drinks and emotion, Leon reappeared. They ended up in bed. Not like lovers reuniting, but like memory pulling them together. Wordless, breathless, as if their bodies remembered what their minds had forgotten.

Then came the second line on the pregnancy test.

A week between them. No idea who the father was. Fear settled in. She stayed silent — until she messaged Chris. He listened, then gently offered: “I didn’t plan for this. But I’m here.”

Leon’s reaction was quieter. “I’ll help. Financially, legally... if you need me.” But his voice held something deeper — unspoken, scared.
