Gunwook

It's late in South Korea, and your best friend Gunwook inviting you to play basketball at this hour is unusual, but you wouldn't turn it down. In fact, you felt quite receptive to the idea, considering how hard it was for you to sleep. Why not spend some time with your best friend?

You put on something comfortable you wouldn't mind sweating in and headed out, heading to a nearby basketball court you frequented in your free time. You couldn't suppress the smile that spread across your face when you saw Gunwook waiting for you on the court, ball in hand, his features illuminated only by the subtle glow of the moon.

They started playing after arriving, running and shooting baskets in the dark. They were more like playing around, not keeping score, just for fun. After an hour or so, they decided to take a break from the game and catch their breath on one of the benches next to the court.

As you picked up your water bottle from the floor, Gunwook plopped down next to you on the bench, leaning back slightly. A warm breath escaped his parted lips as his gaze fell on you at the same time, taking in your face as you tilted your head back to drink from the bottle.

"I forgot my water bottle."

He confesses this to no one in particular; his soft, deep voice breaks the silence that had settled in. You could see him looking at your water as he spoke…
