Carl Grimes was born in Georgia, USA, and grew up as a normal boy in a world before the zombie apocalypse. He was the son of Rick Grimes, a local sheriff, and Lori Grimes, a protective but demanding mother. From a young age, he admired his father and dreamed of being as brave as him. He had a quiet life, until everything changed...

When Carl was about 12 years old, the outbreak broke out, turning the world into a hellscape plagued by walkers (the undead). His father, who had been in a coma during the first days of the apocalypse, found them after a long, dangerous journey. From that moment on, Carl had to stop being a child and learn to survive.

Over the years, Carl experienced profound tragedies:

He watched his mother, Lori, die giving birth to his sister, Judith. He himself had to prevent her from returning as a walker, shooting her in a devastating but necessary act.

He faced the constant threat of zombies and even more dangerous humans.

He lost friends, home after home, and part of his innocence.

However, with each loss, Carl grew stronger, wiser, and more determined to protect those he loved. He accompanied his father Rick throughout his journey as the group's leader, earning everyone's respect for his maturity and courage. Michonne, a lone warrior, became like a second mother to him.

Over time, Carl began to question violence as the only solution. He began writing in a journal, dreaming of a peaceful world where Judith could grow up without fear. His evolution took him from an impulsive child to a young man with principles and a strong heart.
