apocalypse with many dangers

Greeting

the city tried. just recently the Archound forces dropped napalm bombs in the outskirts of the city to stop further infection. they have done this before, but it is of no use... viruses manage to survive even in such conditions. now it is calm, the infected either hid in buildings or were killed, so you have time to pass this scorched area before you have to change the filter on your gas mask and breathe in toxic napalm fumes

survivor settlements

Independent Settlements: Islands of Life in a Sea of Chaos

In a world ruled by factions and mutants, there remain rare islands of independence - settlements that have managed to survive without being subjugated by ARHOUND, Black Wind, BIOKRON or AMAGO.

1. Who are they?

  • Former villages that survived due to their remoteness.
  • Groups of refugees who found fortified places (bunkers, factories, mountain caves).
  • Renegade faction members who escaped from their own and created their own rules.

2. How do they survive?

Protection:

  • Homemade fortifications - fences made from rusty cars, minefields, traps with barbed wire.
  • Night watches - if they see fire or smoke in the distance - immediately raise the alarm.
  • Entrance fee - outsiders are only allowed in with disarmament or in exchange for resources.

Food:

  • Underground farms (mushrooms, rats, GMO plants).
  • Hunt for mutants (not all of them - only those that are not poisonous).
  • Barter with caravans (if they are not from ARHOUND).

Law:

  • Strict rules (theft → exile, murder → death).
  • Council of Elders or dictator (usually a former military man).
  • No factions - if they find out you're from BIOKRON or Black Wind - they can kick you out or execute you.

3. Their enemies:

  • ARHOUND - they will burn it just like that, for the sake of resources.
  • Mutants - especially the "Crown" (they like to attack at night).
  • Hunger - if the harvest is lost, cannibalism begins.

5. The most famous settlements:

  1. "Salt Fort" (in the mines) - they live off salt mining and trading with Black Wind.
  2. "The Last Lighthouse" (at an abandoned nuclear power plant) - they use old reactors for light.
  3. "Bloody Market" (neutral zone) - everyone trades here, even ARHOUND under foreign flags.

survivors attitude to factions

Survivors' Attitudes to Factions

1. ARHOUND – "Reservoir Dogs"

  • Fear: 5/5
  • Hate: 4/5
  • Chance of cooperation: 1/5

"They don't look for allies, only victims." The survivors fear ARHOUND more than mutants. Their raids are massacres without negotiations. If black flags with a bloody trident are spotted within a radius of 20 km, people flee, leaving everything.

Why are they tolerated? Sometimes they cleanse the zones of mutants (but then rob the survivors).

2. Black Wind – "Shadows of the Market"

  • Fear: 3/5
  • Hate: 2/5
  • Chance of cooperation: 4/5

"They are not heroes, but you can negotiate with them." Black Wind doesn't kill without reason, but they don't save for nothing either. If the survivors have equipment, fuel or information - a deal is possible.

Why are they respected? They don't touch neutrals unless they interfere in their affairs.

3. BIOKRON – "Plague Doctors"

  • Fear: 4/5
  • Hate: 3/5
  • Chance of cooperation: 2/5

"They'll come, disinfect you, and maybe leave you alive." Biocronians are feared, but sometimes begged for help - if there is an outbreak nearby. However, their "treatment" may be the last.

Why are they tolerated? Only they can stop the epidemic (even at the cost of an entire district).

4. AMAGO – "Ghosts of the Past"

  • Fear: 4/5
  • Hate: 1/5
  • Chance of cooperation: 3/5

"They are like robots - emotionless, but you can set your watch by them." The AMAGO are treated with caution, but without malice. They do not rob, do not commit massacres - they simply march as if the war were not over yet.

Why are they respected? If AMAGO occupied the ruins – there will be order (but no freedom either).

mutants

Catalog of mutants of the post-nuclear landscape

1. "Whisperers" (Class: Ω-9)

  • Origin: Infected with the neurotoxin "Quiet Whisper" (BIOKRON).
  • Appearance:
  • The skin is covered with cracks from which black mucus oozes.
  • No mouth - communicate by vibrating the larynx (heard as a whisper within a radius of 10 m).
  • Behavior:
  • They do not attack first, but they repeat the last words of their victims.
  • They gather in "choirs" - if there are >5 of them, they can stun with a low-frequency hum.
  • Weakness: Burns even from low heat.

2. "Crown" (Class: Δ-7)

  • Origin: Symbiosis with Cordyceps "Black Crown".
  • Appearance:
  • Mushroom "crowns" on heads (pulsate when in danger).
  • The fingers have fused into chitinous blades.
  • Behavior:
  • They hunt at night, and during the day they "grow" into the walls of buildings.
  • They drag the victims into "libraries" - rooms where they arrange the bones into patterns.
  • Weakness: UV radiation (destroys mycelium).

3. "Glass" (Class: Γ-3)

  • Origin: Victims of the Glass Dream prion.
  • Appearance:
  • The skin is transparent, bones and vessels are visible.
  • Eyes are crystals, reflecting light like a prism.
  • Behavior:
  • Not aggressive, but infect through sight.
  • "Sing" - when struck they produce ringing sounds.
  • Weakness: Shatters from sharp blows.

4. "Mercury" (Class: Σ-12)

  • Origin: Infected with ARHOUND nanoplague.
  • Appearance:
  • The body is semi-liquid, takes the form of a puddle or a person.
  • Blood is a metallic gel (mercury + gallium).
  • Behavior:
  • Seep through cracks, attack by strangulation.
  • Bullets don't work - you just drown in them.
  • Weakness: Electromagnetic pulses (paralyzes nanoplague).

AMAGGO

AMAGO: The Last Legion

Origin:

The only faction that remained loyal to INVICTUS after its fall. They did not recognize the corporation's dissolution - for them, Eleanor Verkhovskaya is still the commander-in-chief, even if she is not alive.

Their credo: "Order above survival."

Their structure:

1. Army of Shadow

  • Appearance:

  • Flawless black and grey uniform with red INVICTUS chevrons.

  • Helmets with tactical displays (legacy of corporate technologies).

  • No homemade armor - only certified armor.

  • Behavior:

  • Rigid hierarchy. Orders are not discussed.

  • Discipline = survival. For disobedience - execution.

  • They don’t rob or pillage. Only cleaning and control.

  • Armament:

  • Corporate assault rifles "Verdict" (high-precision, with recoil suppression).

  • Heavy exosuits "Paladin" (rare, only for elite squads).

  • Guardian combat drones (remnants of INVICTUS technology).

2. Loyalist Scientists

  • Appearance:

  • White lab coats with INVICTUS sleeve patches.

  • Glasses with HUD displays (real-time threat analysis).

  • Behavior:

  • Work only for the army. No "personal experiments".

  • They believe that INVICTUS will be reborn. Archives, blueprints, technologies - everything is preserved.

  • Developments:

  • "Retribution System" - a network of satellite strikes (still operational in some areas).

  • Regeneration stimulants (but only for our own).

3. Technology and Logistics

  • Thunderbolt tanks are heavy, slow, but unrivaled in defense.
  • Valkyrie helicopters - fast, silent, for reconnaissance and precision strikes.
  • Underground basescompletely autonomous, with reserves for 10+ years.

Their weaknesses:

If there is no order - stand still, even if it means death

Biocron

BIOCRON: Cult of Purity

Basis: A scientific-military sect, the successor to the INVICTUS biolabs. They control factories, underground farms, and an army of brainwashed slaves.

Soldiers:

  • SSO "Shadows" - elite, invisible killers in black spacesuits with optical camouflage. They hunt for virus samples and traitors.
  • RCHBZ - fanatics in pressure suits, burning contaminated areas with "Cleaner" flamethrowers.
  • Scientists - in armored robes, turn prisoners into "Purified" (slaves without memory).

special features:

  • Underground weapons factories and GMO farms.
  • "Brain-fixing" stations - erase personality in 3 days.
  • "Shadows" can wait for weeks in radioactive ruins to kill one target.

Weakness: They are generally weaker than other factions, but in an infected area they will eventually gain the upper hand.

Their credo: "The world is dead. We dissect it."

black wind

Black Wind: Shadows of the New Order

Origin:

Once TALIONIS, the logistical backbone of INVICTUS, responsible for supplies, transport and the black market. After the collapse, the corporations became a hybrid of the army and the mafia, turning chaos into a system. Their motto: "We do not rule - we redistribute".

Their soldiers are not just fighters. They are shadows, traders, executioners and saviors all rolled into one.

Their soldiers:

1. Appearance:

  • Black tactical cloaks with hoods (hence the name - "Wind"). Under them - light armor made of composite plates stolen from the armies of dead countries.
  • Faces are hidden (masks, scarves, shadows of hoods). They recognize each other by code tattoos on their wrists (former TALIONIS units).
  • Eyes without emotion. They smoke a lot of cheap homegrown tobacco - their eyelids are always swollen, their gaze tired, but tenacious.

2. Behavior:

  • Pragmatists to the core. They don’t fight just for the sake of it – only for resources, information or survival.
  • They don't believe in anything except force and agreements. But if they give their word, they keep it, otherwise they lose their reputation.
  • They love silence. They talk little, mostly using signs (a legacy of INVICTUS special operations).
  • Hate ARHOUND for their senseless cruelty, but respect their fighting skills.

3. Armament:

  • "Quiet" trunks:

  • Submachine guns with silencers (often homemade).

  • Rifles with optics, but without markings (so as not to show up in thermal imagers).

  • Knives are not for fighting, but for silent killings.

  • "Dirty" tools:

  • Whisper Grenade - does not explode, but sprays a drug that causes panic and hallucinations.

  • "Bonebreaker" - a heavy hammer with spikes (for clearing mutants in close combat).

  • "Black Smoke" - checkers that create impenetrable darkness (spores in the smoke are a side effect).

Archon

ARHOUND: Anatomy of the Fallen

Origin:

Once upon a time, they were the elite stormtroopers of INVICTUS, a "hammer" in the hands of Verkhovskaya. After the corporation's collapse, they became nomad predators, obsessed with the idea of "getting their own back." Their bases are abandoned factories, prisons, and destroyed military complexes.

Their soldiers:

1. Appearance:

  • Scars instead of stripes: Each has the code of the former INVICTUS unit burned into their face (for example, "IX-7-Δ").
  • "Armor" from trash: Torn plates from NBC protection suits, intertwined with barbed wire. Breastplates - from armored personnel carrier doors.
  • Eyes without whites: From constant use of night visors (the retina has faded to a bluish color).

2. Behavior:

  • They don’t build, they don’t defend – they just take. If they capture a bunker, within a week it turns into a slaughterhouse (they don’t remove the corpses – they use them as barricades).
  • They hate Black Wing for "betrayal", but most of all they hate Biocron, considering them "rats hiding in labs".
  • They rarely talk. They communicate with gestures (a system of signs inherited from the INVICTUS special forces).

3. Armament:

  • "Dirty" weapons:

  • Machine guns with homemade mufflers (fuel cans).

  • Grenades filled with fragments of infected crystals ("Osteoclast-7").

  • Dragon Flamethrowers - filled with fuel laced with Black Crown spores.

  • "Live ammunition": Prisoners are infected with viruses and released to the enemy. They especially like "Red Stream" (victims explode, spreading the infection).

Their weaknesses:

  1. There are no medics. The wounded are finished off (considered ballast).
  2. Addiction to old INVICTUS warehouses. Without ampoules of "Adrenaline-X" (stimulant) fighters become depressed and commit suicide.
  3. Blindly believe in the "Return". They wait for Eleanor Verkhovskaya to resurrect and lead them to victory.

result

Viruses mutate, infection zones grow, civilization no longer exists. The world is in ruins.

INVICTUS is gone. There are only wrecks, factions, infested zones and war. And in this new chaos, everyone survives as best they can - or turns into a weapon. “Empires don’t die right away. First they rot from the inside. Then they burn to the ground.” — Unknown survivor, sector 12, Tamura ruins.

continuation of lore

IV. Oceania Catastrophe - Awakening of the Apocalypse

Amidst chaos in Oceania, one of BIOKRON's warehouses is attacked. During the shootout, dangerous substances leak: • white phosphorus • termite • neurotoxin spores • experimental zombie viruses of class "Δ" and "Ω" and much more.

AMAGO, wanting to destroy all traces and clear the warehouse, save people, sends the entire combat team there. They die in full force. The remnants of BIOKRON, battered and disoriented, retreat to the Yamato (Osaka) region under pressure from ARHOUND, who decided to conquer this zone. They later die from diseases, trying to seize the nuclear weapons, forever left under the rubble.

V. Osaka - New Front

In Yamato, BIOKRON engages in trench warfare with the emerging Black Wing army. The war takes the form of a local APOCALYPSE, on a scale only with chemical and viral weapons. Meanwhile, the viruses in the base are running amok, infecting millions. Aria, Tamura, Grandaria, and Grenada are in a state of panic, infection, and breakdown of law and order.

VI. Askania's Intervention and Global Collapse

The Federation of Askania, in fear of the spread of the infection and with the aim of expansion, invades Grenada and Grandaria, simultaneously conducting anti-virus campaigns and military actions. This provokes a world war in which: • Nuclear, biological and heavy weapons are used everywhere • Countries are collapsing • Cities burn in flames • ⅔ of humanity perishes

The world turns into a wasteland, comparable to post-apocalyptic works - Metro 2033, Mad Max, Stalker.

VII. The Last Agreement - The Alliance of the Dead

After the death of billions, Black Wind captures the remnants of BIOKRON. Instead of execution or reprisal, they propose unity: for survival. Viruses mutate, infection zones grow, civilization no longer exists. The world is in ruins.

lor:

After a series of stunning victories and global expansion, the private military corporation INVICTUS, under the leadership of Eleanor Morena Verkhovsky, has achieved unprecedented power. Becoming a shadow hegemon, controlling armies, the economy, the black market and pharmaceuticals, INVICTUS has expanded its influence throughout the world. But every empire eventually collapses. With Eleanor's death or disappearance, an era of disintegration began. What had once been held together by iron will and one-man rule crumbled into fragments. A war broke out within the organization, with each faction attempting to lay its hands on the remnants of its former power.

I. ARHOUND — Strike from within

Initially, the ARHOUND faction attempted a diplomatic takeover, proposing to create a new coordination council. Having received a refusal from other structures, the leaders decided to switch to a forceful scenario. Overnight, ARHOUND units storm the warehouses of BIOKRON, a unit that stockpiles chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons. Their plan is simple: gain an asymmetrical advantage over the others.

II. AMAGO — The Last Peacekeepers. The Disappearance of the "Anonymous Army".

The threat was immediately responded to by AMAGO, who believed that a leak of weapons of mass destruction could trigger a global catastrophe. They entered the conflict as a third force, trying to prevent escalation. Global clashes began all over the world, since INVICTUS bases were scattered all over the planet.

III. TALIONIS → BLACK WING — Rebirth and Rift

The TALIONIS faction, one of INVICTUS's largest logistics centers, falls apart. A new coalition emerges from its ruins: Black Wing, united with the TSB, ABL, District 12, and Famiglia groups. However, internal disputes over black business (weapons, drug trafficking, pharmaceuticals) quickly escalate into a bloodbath. A war for control of warehouses and assets begins. TALIONIS becomes the epicenter of hostilities.
